First of all, first hello to all of you’s!

3dwizzard, you definetely have my support! Carmageddon 2 was and still is one of the best racing games ever (maybe because I have so many fun memories with it when I played it with my friend back in the day, and I’m quite an old school person… The other sequels had a shitty gameplay for me.) It’s freshly installed on my PC and I’m loving it!
I really don’t give a shit about gore and wasting pedestrians, that’s for children and Bin Laden’s supporters. And what’s with it anyway? You kill people in every computer game these days, doesn’t matter if it’s with a gun or a car. You see, I’m a guy who loves cars (especially old, dirty and derby’ish and BOY you had no idea when I discovered my personal favourite, the '69 Charger on that bridge in Episode 2. I had difficulties controlling myself…) and driving experience. In real life you can see only the interior and you can’t really enjoy your lovely car. Also you can’t do anything fun and forbidden. That’s why there are computer games for me. I can enjoy watching my car, 360 degrees in different parts of the world, enjoy the suspension and the wheels, getting damaged etc, basically for free. Today’s games like GTA 4, Flatouts, Mafia II and their great selection of cars are still offering me a really good driving experience visually and realistically in an open, free world but I always want more. Carmageddon 2 offered me that too, so I really hope that the Reincarnation gets made.

There was only 1 sequel after carmageddon 2 and it wasn’t made by the same studio, that’s why it sucked.
Stainless invented carmageddon and they only made 2 of them.
After 15 year they finally managed to buy their brand rights back and want to make this new carmageddon game.
But after 15 years of no action their fans have grown quite a bit, some are done with gaming and many are married with kids and have a busy life.
The thing is however, that they already gathered 261.000 bucks out of the 400.000 and they still have 19 days to reach their goal.
So it can still be done, especially if one of those damned sites like gametrailers or kotaku would mention even a single word about this game…
They are purposely avoiding to talk about carmageddon because they are politically correct stick up the ass law abiding citizens…

Yeah but you do get chased by police cars, “I’ll lock you up and throw away the keys”. No, it is not just about gore and running over pedestrians. Although that was fun (there were multiple ways to win, kill all pedestrians, destroy all other cars or just win the race) There was a campaign mode and you could unlock awesome vehicles.

You obviously didn’t play the game. It is like saying half life is just another corridor shooter.

I thought it was a pretty good game, the zombie TDR 2000 one at least.

Last and only time I’ve played carmageddon was fifteen years ago on N64. It was pretty horrible and uncontrollable back then, thus my opinion of a piece of garbage. My retard opinion on it came after when I grew up and a game where you run on people just for the heck of it seems not even remotely fun.

You played the absolute worst version of it which in fact was not made by the original creators but by the publisher himself!
N64’s carmageddon is considered to be the worst game on the n64 along with superman 64 and I don’t disagree with that.

Carmageddon was not the same on all platforms, not even remotely the same.
Every platform had a different game basically.
And the n64 version was absolute shit due to being rushed and limited by the platform.

Here’s a quote from wikipedia “The Nintendo 64 port was ill-received, being N64 Magazine’s lowest rated game at 8% from 1999 till 2004”

I too thought n64’s version of carmageddon was the worst piece of shit ever and I still do.
However, I absolutely love carmageddon 1 and 2 on pc and everybody that played these games on pc will tell you that there’s not just a graphical enhancement between the pc versions and the consoles and that in fact they are completely different games!
And if you think carmageddon is a game where all you do is kill people for the sake of it, then you are mistaking again.
Carmageddon HAS people in it’s word which you can run over for credits and time but they are not the main goal of the game.
Carmageddon is an open world racing game, where you can beat the race by completing checkpoints, smashing all the cars or killing every pedestrian in a map(which is close to impossible since they are thousands)
The fun factor of carmageddon is it’s physics, it’s car damage mechanics, it’s shitloads of powerups that make your car or the world react in all kinds of crazy and fun ways and then there’s the great level design and art direction that made the first 2 games incredibly different from eachother but equally awesome in their own separate ways.
Carma 1 being industrial punk/anarchy while carma 2 being more into the colorful sunny direction.
Another constant you will find in both carmageddon games, is shitloads of dark humor at every corner.
Carmageddon is the only game where you can run over a Mammoth with a 6 wheeled special forces armored futuristic APC car into a bunch of amusement park clowns for ex.

Last but certainly not least, the game also benefits from a very talented community that has put out hundreds and hundreds of mods and thousands of fan made cars to squish until there’s nothing left out of them, thanks to the fully dynamic damage mechanic that only GTA4 got close to, a few years ago.

The n64 version of carmageddon is missing every single element that made the pc version great.
No awesome gravity, no physics no awesome graphics for that time, no dynamic damage for the cars,it had crappy pedestrians and crappy sounds.
Everything was a low poly, low quality piece of shit that should have never existed.

The design is not final.
That’s an alpha render of the said physical miniature cars.
They will tweak it a lot and possibly even change it entirely, before it gets turned into a miniature.
The miniature will have to match the Eagle 1 from the first carmaggedon and the new eagle from the new carmageddon.
They don’t have it set in stone right now and they are still tweaking and asking for opinions on the new eagle look.
When it’s final design is going to be finalized, it will be featured both in game and in the form of the miniature collectible car.
