Calling all British people (and selected non-Brits who enjoy BBC programmes)

So I saw Mitch Benn live recently (awesome show, highly recommended), and I’ve seen that he has just released his new single in support of the BBC, seeing as the knives are coming out again over the TV licence. His blog explains his own take on why he’s doing it.

Help support a great British comedian and a great British institution - watch the video and grab a copy off Amazon. I challenge any British person to say there’s not one thing mentioned in the song which they don’t think is/was awesome.

Here’s the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3q2iZuU5WM

And here’s the Amazon link (come on, it’s 79p): https://www.amazon.co.uk/Im-Proud-BBC-Single/dp/B0049090F8

Spread the word!

TV license still sucks :stuck_out_tongue:
But yeah, song is just awesome.
79p, you say…

Ohhh man, last of the summer wine and Keeping up appearences are great shows. :awesome:

Mind the sheep, Richard!

But the sheep are in the field!!

Support the BBC you say?
TO THE INTERNETS!

I’m actually alright with the TV licence fee tbh :expressionless:

Cheers for the link, Scotsman

It’s a shitload cheaper than Sky, you don’t have to pay for extra hardware, they do radio and online, they don’t ply you with adverts every five minutes, and they’ll never try to get you to pay extra to watch something. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Well there are adverts. Technically. For Eastenders. Also The One Show.

…Yeah. Technicalities.

BBC = WIN

No adverts. The News dosn’t report on the likes on peter fucking andre, and Horizon, its the best program on the BBC. I love pretty much nearly every topic covered, its also done with impartiality.

I’ll defo buy the fee when I’ll finally get on my feet tho.
It’s 10 quid a month anyway.

it’s just that they bother you too fukkin much when you actually don’t wanna watch TV.

This. A million times.

Not to mention Fawlty Towers.

I was watching something called ‘Atom’ a few days ago by BBC on their iPlayer. It was interesting.

BBC iPlayer is going international next year.

Fucking. Win.

where did you get that?
EDIT: Oh nvmd, got that
