So, my buddy gave me this TV. He said when he bought it from Wal*Mart (Go figure) it looked like someone had broken the end tip of a video cable in the port on the back of the TV and just returned it.
Does anyone have any ideas how to get it out of the plug? I have no idea what to do. Blaaah.
If you can disassemble the whole connector panel, you might get easier access… and be able to put whatever you want in it without risking damage to the TV.
Surely some basement dwelling stoner geek would be pleased getting a broken TV for free! He could spend time repairing it with free spare parts, then spend time boasting about it on the internet and then smoke the biggest blunt you’ve ever seen (and boast about it on the internet as well, of course).
I’m sorry, I only fix LCD screens, those TV’s hurt my eyes especially when I’m stoned.
But you don’t wanna know how I deal with stuck pins inside a connector, I once had a similar problem in a VGA port, so I cut off most of the pin on the vga cable so it just barely touches the stuck pin with the tip of the cut off one, still works fine to this day, except I can’t use any other monitors on that computer, and vice versa. :S
