This thread has three purposes:

First - Lets see how many people are going to start up a BMDM Server when BM is released. Do you have a server name in mind? Any specific plans for what you are going to do with the server?

Second - I’d like to start a petition at gameservers.com to get BMDM added to their game list. They said if enough demand is shown for a game, they’ll add it to their list. Shortly before the release of BM, I’d like to make a post on their forums to petition for the addition of BMDM. I’d like this thread to be the organization point for that effort. Please don’t post there until we have a concrete release date.

Third - Once BM is released, let’s use this thread to annouce new BMDM servers.

I’ll start:

Type: Custom High Quality Maps mixed with Original BMDM Maps
Special Notes: 16 Players, Realistic Fall Damage ON, Fraglimit 50

Who knows if there will be a deathmatch in the end? If there is, a BM version of Modular Combat would be awesome.

How do you guys host a server currently in Source games?
I hope Black Mesa will be like Gmod and we can just choose whether or not to have a LAN server or not.

I will host if I can get some more thermal paste from a friend to fix my server computer so I’ll post back when I get it running.

Once i get this old computer of mine setup server wise (as it will be for many other games such as gmod, l4d etc.) I’ll set up a temporary BMDM server. Won’t be up 24/7 but I’ll post an announcement when it is up with info. Have a party night or something.
