But you see the circle here right?
We’d be more comfortable releasing information if the above was not happening to begin with.

This paragraph should be read by all HL3 fanboys.
Your-name-here is very right, to get the best results, patience must be required, and patience is a virtue.
If we nagged the developers about the current status of BMDM or any of their future development plans, they might then have to speed up the game development, and that might cause a lot of problems in the game, they would concentrate generally on the big points and ignore the minor points, and those minor points can be bugs as annoying as Adrenaline Gamer 2 Pro Mode models being invisible.
Let’s just give them time and not stress too much on them, I’m pretty sure that BM will be the bomb when it gets fully done and released. Black Mesa part 1 took many years of development, and it was fucking worth it, if only you knew what it takes to develop such… perfection… in a point.
Anyways, I’m expecting no less from BM developers, but what I really wish for, is a better anti-cheat system, more like placing restrictions in BM files or such, I have many ideas for that, but I suggest only, because VAC is weak…
I appreciate the kind words, though my post was really just a general rant. We want to avoid setting expectations that we cannot meet. VALVe was bit by this before and that’s why we hear nothing about EP3.
In regards to an anti-cheat, we don’t have plans to make a replacement for VAC (technically not feasible). For files, I believe server operators have the option of using the sv_pure console variable.
You can run a server off your local machine but the players you can have connecting will be limited to what your PC can Handle…And your connection
Better to hire a custom server… But Frag yards never hurt anyone them small cosy maps are fun too.
mani admin plugin yes please
quake sounds… Goes without saying
Once BMDM is released, I start making maps in it
Keep in mind that mani admin plugin and quake sounds are not our projects so don’t expect something like that to ship with BMDM nor should you expect us to support them (e.g. troubleshoot or integrate).
yeah I totally understand that.
I hope they will support you guys.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
