it was a prop that gave off one of those pink “error” messages. They just painted over it in paint.
You sure? Because there’s another one at the top of the cliff, can’t imagine Ram sending a screenshot with error signs in it for their first real magazine coverage

Actually… I was guessing right along with the rest of you. 
You’ll also notice two slightly transparent black spots in the top right. And there’s a few red spots in the picture too. So yes, probably blood stains that aren’t textured properly, or something.
looks like we got another Hardy Boys mystery on our hands.
They are particles coming from somewhere, probably blood or something from the guy shooting at him.
What level is this supposed to be from? I don’t recognize it at all.

It’s just the base blood sprite when a flesh entity is damaged, it’s coming from Gordon’s body.
The black chunks are meant to be some sort of flesh/meat, they are textured black normally.
Those things only show up for 1/4 of a second and always at a different place on screen.
no. They fly from your body anf out of your view in a 1/4th of a second.
