BM Coverage in Australian PC Powerplay

There had better be more than one new piece of media in that article :meh:

So wtf were all the interviews for if they didn’t even get any new information?

I’m seriously starting to think that this article isn’t worth my time.

It’s about Raminator’s new book, you know…the one about Raminator :expressionless:

the pics they got which are comparing HL to BM are, the laser, barney shooting that first? headcrab scientist, scientist performing CPR on security guard.

i will go read again, maybe im missing something …, i wish i could just post it up word for word, that would be easier

If that turns out to be true and we have only three new screenshots and no actual new info, it will be kind of a let-down… but hey, maybe there’s something in there worth the hype, we must not lose hope

EDIT: You can always paraphrase or point out the most important points, I guess…

sigh is there seriously nobody else here who has the magazine?

and a scanner?

ok this is word for word: “The Xen tentacle was probably one of the most difficult monsters for us to create in terms of programming effort. In general, we’ve not had much trouble bringing the other weapons, NPCs and environmental entities to life”

At least tell me that those screenshots are big and not one of those annoyingly small thumbnails… to whet our appetite.

Perhaps you could reference another part of the article. Something we don’t know about.

The editor did say there was a lot of insight in to the development of the mod - this is certainly of value to me! Even if there were lots of new information - what would it be, we know a fair bit about the mod at this stage, and I want some surprises when I play!!

screenshots are big, but its been sooo long since I have played HL for me to recognize where they are, which means they must look fuckin fantastic and it will feel like your playing a whole new game (well new version) its like HL is a PS1 and BM is a PS3

good point chrisp, i mean what dont we already know about the mod ?

STOP, YOU VIOLATED THE LAW! PAY THE COURT A FINE OR SERVE YOUR SENTANCE!

but on a more serious note, go buy the magazine before Atkinson decides to censor it.

Thank GOD Atkinson is (hopefully, everyone in s.a vote) out in March :stuck_out_tongue:

:hmph:

i find this somewhat ironic.

And what time would this time be?

Edit: you could make a page that’s exclusive to everyone who isn’t australian so it promotes sells for their area and it wouldn’t deprive us.

“More pope-like than the pope”

The magazine editor says he’s OK with scans of the article (because it’s a good promo), but no, a moderator of his own volition decides that we cannot get the scans, and labels it as “promoting sales”.

And the result? Contradicting reports of the article’s contents (Editor himself says their build starts after RC, yet a reader claiming that he has read it says there’s the train ride…)

thumb down for moderator’s decision.

And how do you propose they do that, given that Americans who want to use Spotify can get around the fact that their country has different copyright laws to the rest of the world (thus preventing Spotify from running in the US) by using IP routing jiggermapokery?

Well, it is possible to block IPs from a certain country.

Then again, there are always proxies.

Then again, you can’t stop the internet.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
