BM Coverage in Australian PC Powerplay

Well, Newsagents and stuff normally get mags shipped in from a few weeks to a month before putting them up on the shelves, so you could be lucky.

How about an Australian pirate?

Oh haha no not at all. But yeah I get what you mean, but yeah that wasn’t my intention at all

No wuckin’ furries mate she’ll be right as rain.

“No worries, mate! Ha ha ha, you live in a van!”

In London many people genuinely say “mate” when adressing anyone.
I’ll thank you in advance for those early scans mate.

This is really big for a mod to get into mainstream press like this, but it brings up two questions for me.

How much of the game is included in this game, and how can the team consider the build good enough to be sent to a professional publication in the industry for scrutiny/feedback/hype, but not good enough to release to its die hard fans? Of course, this is assuming that the build is very complete and encompasses the entire game, but even if it didn’t it would seem to make very good demo material wouldn’t it?

Either way, keep on plugging away at it and I hope to be enjoying the game soon.

You’re right, it is. But we all knew how big this mod is anyways, right? :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m guessing around 100% :retard:

Well, Carlos did say they were close to making the release date. And they have said they won’t do a demo. But hey, there could be some useful information in this magazine that answers all our questions.

We can always hope!

[COLOR=‘Black’]Or there could be nothing at all <<

I could be quite wrong here, but I’ve got the impression reading Carlos’ post and Rams posts on this and other threads that the delay is for fine tuning, optimisation and other minor tweaks / additions. If this is the case there is no reason a copy couldn’t be sent to the press - in fact this is probably the state of most games the magazine gets for previews / reviews.

Yeah, I heard you guys got AUS$10 each for the exclusive, whilst Raminator settled with a pat on the back

We’re all glad you think so.

is this magazine available in the U.S. of A?

It’s sold in Australia, but members of the community will be scanning it and posting it on here.
Alternatively, you can purchase one to be shipped to you from their website.

no point i’m a fan of pdf files.

also devs don’t get the magazine for free? that’s fucked up…

How is that “fucked up?”

You do realize what the definition of a ‘dev’ is, right?

Holy ducks I want that demo noah!

I don’t. I’d prefer to experience the game in its completeness; all at once.

I disagree. I’d prefer the game to be released episodically like a true valve product. Preferably in 3 episodes.

Well for obvious reasons it doesn’t work that way.

ie. All the weapons, models, assets, etc might not be “complete” and therefore you can’t release part of the MOD, because the same items are used throughout the whole game, so therefore it must all be complete.
