bm_c2a4f : tesla discharge does not "delete" killed scientists

i saw that last day and replayed it to be sure .
there are two killed scientists in the room , when you use the tesla discharge , only the aliens’ body [alive or not] are deleted in fire balls

you can’t ignore me forever you know

You haven’t even said anything.

I think it is because the dead scientists are ragdoll entities, and dont play by the same rules in the engine (currently) as the alien entities. I want to say that it would require nothing more than implementing a special flag so that prop_ragdolls can be tesla’d.

Edit: OR perhaps set the tesla’s ent setup to also do ragdolls. Not entirely sure if possible but it is a thought.

a flag or a power 2 in spawnflag [ if there are not too much already ] , should be a good choice . this tesla explosion option could be useful with others objects like tanks or choppers .
the map bm_c2a5d has a tank to destroy , when it happens it “does not” break the wood box that are close to it , same goes with the military .

may be tesla or tank explosions should have a radius for killing/hurting humans and objects ?

Of course, and if it’s not destroyed by the explosion itself, then by the shockwave

Most explosives in Black Mesa have a very small blast radius. Whether or not that will be changed in the later revision(s) is yet to be seen, confirmed, or denied.

It’d be cool if they fixed the scientists in the tesla rooms, though.

Yeah, it breaks immersion when a dead body is gibable and yet another one next to it, or in the general area, isn’t. If the Source engine allows for it and it doesn’t strain resources, it’d be great if this could be fixed.

not really, think about it, the tesla is designed to destroy living biological mater, key word there is living, the scientists in the chamber are not alive there for it is unlikely they will have the full effect of the tesla on activation (their chest may burst do to the fact that the Bactria in the body isn’t dead but still)

Yeah, unless valve boosted the entity limit to 4096, this is not a good enough reason to crash the game more often

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
