There is something wrong with undevoted teams trying to create an updated version of Blue Shift.

Blue Shift wasn’t bland, it just didn’t have poorly conceptualized new enemies and weapons. It probably had some of the best fights and level designs of any of the original Half Life games.

eh, i just finished both opposing forces and blue shift (yay %66 off weekend+college student). BS just seemed a little dull, nothing that hadn’t already been done before and. Although it was a lot of fun, i wouldn’t say i was overly impressed. OP4 i thought was a lot more enjoyable. Probably had something to do with revisiting some locations in the original game which happened much more frequently than in BS, it gave more of a new point of view to the game. yea the new alien races and weapons didn’t exactly fit or hold to the argument of well why the hell did Gordan not come across any of this? but overall i thought it was a much better game then BS.
I’ll probably play the remakes of both but no, i don’t expect them to come close to what i expect to see from BMS
