So, I was wondering, does the BlackMesa Team have any future projects they are going to work on? If that is the case, I would love to see a Deus-Ex remade with the current SDK released by Epic Games. That would be Epic. :3
If they are going to work on other projects, what would you folks like to see?
Before anyone else comes trolling, I’ll quickly say this:
It is highly unlikely that the BM team will stay together post release. Likely elements of the core team will stick around to balance multiplayer content with updates, but there will NOT be any singleplayer work done by the team after BM ships.
After they release single player, I believe Ram said they are gonna jump right into the beta for multiplayer. Beyond that, who knows - most of them will probably go on their own way and hopefully having the project on their resume will open doors for them.
That’s a shame, from the videos and screenshots I have seen of BlackMesa, the game will be amazing. I am sure they can turn other oldies into gems just like BlackMesa. I would even be willing to pay $20 for BlackMesa and a Deus-Ex Remake.
I hear you, multiplayer would be very welcome indeed and very much appreciated, I really hope they complete that part of the game after they released the mod. :3
Will the Black Mesa team be paying my bills after the game is released? My utilities are getting kind of high and the screenshots look amazing, so I put two and two together.
It’s not like the Black Mesa team are the best (or only) people doing remakes like this. Several other teams have made and finished mods as far back as the early 2000’s. So when it is released, and the BM team does break up, it won’t be that bad of a thing. We’ve got several more mods remaking OP4 and Blue Shift, and one even remaking an old mod: Black Ops Source. I think the Decay mod is dead though.
After the mod gets released I honestly think the BM team deserves a rest on the beaches of Hawaii with a bunch of naked girls [or guys if that’s your thing] :retard:
Team Deathmatch - Security Guards Vs HECU
Team Deathmatch Apocalypse - Security Guards Vs HECU Vs NPC Aliens (attack both sides)
Rescue/Capture the Scientist - Don’t know whether this should be Capture the flag or whether there is just one scientist in the middle of the arena
Invasion - More and more waves of Aliens or HECU appear, similar to UT2003 invasion mode
Assault - Security Guards defend, HECU attacks
