Blackmesa.7z is corrupt?

Hey guys, I’m having a problem downloading the game. I download it, everything’s going good, and I start the installer. It starts installing, and then gives me some generic “Blackmesa.7z” is corrupt" I’ve redownloaded from different mirrors several different times, and eveyr time it’s the same message.

Help?

I’ve tried all of the US mirrors.

I’m trying the torrent download, which has been recommended for this problem. I’ll try your suggestion if that fails, though.

You can download only the corrupted parts this way:[/SIZE]
(you can sticky this post if you want)

1. Copy your corrupted Blackmesa.7z to new folder (i.e. BlackMesaFixing).

2. Download torrent file, open it in uTorrent or other torrent client. Choose the same folder where your copy of Blackmesa.7z is (BlackMesaFixing folder). Click OK. If re-check starts automatically, skip to step 5

3. Stop torrent downloading (stop button)

4. Do this:
   

5. Wait till re-checking is done:
   

6. start torrent (play button)

7. it should download only the corrupted parts.

8. You have fully fixed Blackmesa.7z

There must be some issue with your internet connection? It can be said that it’s weak or interrupted. That’s why whenever you download it, you get a corrupt file. You need to check you internet connection or ask your service provider for help. Or may be the program what you use to extract the file is faulty. Get a latest 7-Zip utility and then try to extract the file. If this even doesn’t work then you need to use a recovery tool to recover the data from that “Blackmesa.7z”. You may try this archive recovery that can recover your data from corrupt 7z file. You may also try its demo version at absolutely free of cost.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. It found that my download was 99.6% correct and downloaded the missing pieces within a few seconds which fixed my 7zip file.

After deleting the Black Mesa mod folder from Steam and reinstalling… it played perfectly!
