Why would I make another account on another forum for the same discussion/help I can get here?
I’m all set.

The bug tracker DOES NOT needs any account. I’m doing this all alone to help the developers solving the bugs. If you want to screw bug solving, please continue here.
And A BUG TRACKER IS NOT A FORUM.
If you say so. It says you have to log in and has an advertisement for “try it free!” which leads me to believe it is a for-profit entity. Sure as hell looks like a forum to me. And doesn’t look any better at tracking bugs than this one is.
Don’t trust yourself on this pal. You seem to be as good as judging what is good for reporting bugs as I am with fishing. And I really suck at fishing.
Forum is for discussing, bug tracker if for tracking issues. Using bug tracker to track issues is much more easier for devs than trying to use forum for this task: it’s like trying to wind up screws using a hammer - it could work but using screwdriver is better and more handy.
It wasn’t originally expected that there would be that much issues. When the scale of the problem had became more obvious Georges stepped in with his proposal to setup a normal bug tracker on the bitbucket for tracking BM bugs. It was approved both by devs and moderators of the forum so the things were set and go.
You could continue to post about your problems here on forums but what you essentially would do is (1) make your reports de-facto less priority compared to those in tracker - due to the fact that it’s harder to work with them on forum you shouldn’t expect that devs would want start with traversing through a place that is harder to traverse - and (2) make Georges and rest of “support stuff” people life a bit more harder as they would have to mirror reported issues to the tracker which is done manually and require a time and effort.
Thanks for your support, I feel really lonely sometimes
I can call a clock an orange, but it takes a battery and tells time, so I’ll call it a clock.
If the “Bug Tracker” forum is so endorsed by the staff and this forum, maybe they should have had a tread/sticky about it. (Not including the one he just added 20 minutes ago.)
Your static doesn’t seem like you want to help, seems more like you want more traffic. Well good luck. Either way I’m not paying any memberships, nor making a new account to have the same discussion I already had.
And if this new forum is so endorsed by the administration here, so be it. But maybe you should re-title the forum topic and descriptions HERE first before you just change how everything is expected to work.
If you don’t get what’s the difference between bug tracker and forum it doesn’t mean that they are the same. Educate yourself on google or in wikipedia on “task-based workflow” and “issue management” topics, it’s a pretty interesting info to read IMO.
Check https://forums.blackmesasource.com/showthread.php?t=12513&page=2 , top two posts. I don’t know what else you need after a member of the devteam approved the use of the bugtracker.
I think that the devs have a life and don’t want to spend ALL their free time here. That’s why WE ALL should help them by making it less painful for them. Act as you like, but please think about it.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
