Black Mesa Very Slow

Black mesa is very slow 20 fps. I have a 4 GB ram. I have a 256 MB graphics card. I have an intel core i2 duo processor 2.67 ghz. Is It Normal To Be Slow? Shouldn’t a computer normally running hl2 run black mesa?

Black Mesa is more demanding than HL2. Your system is very outdated, specially the GPU going by the amount of VRAM.

Your system doesn’t meet the minimum requirements of 6GB of memory and a dedicated video card with 2GB of memory
