Hi all!
Recently I made a poster.
Maybe you have more ideas for posters?
Wow, impressive. Valve should hire you
i dunno why, but i got a strange feeling that your post was extremely sarcastic.
to the OP: you’re a real killer. you’re like a…a… guru of the posters… no, i’m serious…
This idiot is obviously mad or something d:
The poster looks alright.
Simple and elegant.
You’re aware that the image you posted is so small it’d be impossible to print on anything bigger than a post-it, right?
Imonfire, did you click on it, or is everything I thought I knew about pixels-to-real life measurement entirely wrong?
I did click on it, and seriously, as far as I know, it couldn’t be printed on anything bigger than a A4 sheet without losing quality. But yes, you probably know a lot more than me.
edit: Maybe an A3, but certainly not a 24" by 36" poster.
At this size it would print out to become 7,13 x 10,08cm.
This needs to be 300dpi.
Not sure if its just me, but the URL at the bottom looks like its not centered properly. Its also a little too big and bright for my tastes, it should be much smaller, lower down to the bottom of the poster and a darker shade that almost blends with the background.
Hey, do you think I’m seriously? I just ask you for good ideas.
If you want to print it (oh, rly?) I can share vector file.
Wow, that’s cool and all, but just a bit much, imho.
OP’s poster works good because it’s simple. Gives just enough that those familiar with HL-related games/mods will get it.
Oh, and russilker’s right, the URL isn’t quite centered. I think it would look a bit nicer also if the logo and “Black Mesa” parts were darkened just a bit and given a little more contrast.
But yeah, the poster looks good.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
