Translation for everyone here:
“This was made by a russian speaking mapper.
Here is some other stuff made by that guy: Blakc Priest Company”
would be nice re-living a nostalgic memory in a better way than before hopefully the hazard course is going to be in it i just like to run around and use the impulse 101 cheat and just blow shit up for no apperent reason
Fuck are you on about, son?
Hello everyone, I have been informed that the work is made by me you lit up I Decided to go and look. If anyone have questions, write here or in steam, I am there under the name blackpriest007. https://www.playground.ru/files/black_mesa/ BM Travel
Hey welcome to the Black Mesa Forums!
BM Travel looks cool, and I think it’d be a good idea to rename your first three maps and publish them to the Steam Workshop to spread them out in the wild
UPDATE: Black Mesa failed to load your second map, and re-downloaded the original one.
UPDATE 2: When trying to load the map manually, Black Mesa crashed with this message:
"
Hmm, what version of the game? I worked with steam, maybe it’s because of the difference of platforms. Today I tested the game on another computer, everything worked. If others will have the same error, I will think what to do. I just have it present, and how to fix that which is not. In any case I will try to find out why this error generally appears
I downloaded Black Mesa travel , I put the folder name ‘‘mod’’ in Steam/steamapps/common/Black Mesa/bms/maps but I don’t know why isn’t work.
I wrote map bm_c0a0 in console (it’s inbound chapter) , after I wrote and ‘‘map bm_c0a0b’’ and ‘‘map bm_c0a0c’’ it’s same chapter
Who can help me with Black Mesa Travel mod ?
You have activated the password using the code sv_cheats 1? To run need original files to replace those who download (the original files to save don’t be in a different place) to do it all in the maps folder. I still get to run even via the game menu, select the first Chapter
I have a little suggestion: I propose the developer to add VOX announcement in Welcome to Black Mesa Chapter (VOX military).
We don’t take ideas.
Only credit.
I’m not exactly sure what’s going on in this thread, or what this is even really meant to be.
But…let’s not get hostile to people who are suggesting ideas. “We don’t take ideas” seems like a totally counterintuitive statement, given that this entire project is literally taking someone else’s idea and remaking it. And there’s nothing wrong with that, Black Mesa is the same. That’s what a remake is. You won’t get far if you don’t build off the community.
Also, I just wanted to add - that brushwork Osprey interior is glorious. One thing we’ve learned the hard way recently with our tribulations on Xen and our recent new earthbound stuff - stay away from using brushwork for basically anything, when you can. There’s about a million reasons why you shouldn’t, but the most important one - it always looks horrible. If you want to create a professional and good looking piece of work, you need modellers. Model your details. You need to get modellers and mappers working in very close proximity, trading things back and forth, if you want to get good results. It’s been a big struggle that we’ve been dealing with for Xen.
To lighten things up a bit in here, here’s a brushwork truck. Literally taken from HL1, from an original Bootcamp VMF.
Indeed, use models, they are very useful if you’re going to make a Black Mesa related mod. Now if you want to use models for the intro you’ll obviously use the Osprey-V22 model, it already has an interior and chairs there as well, which you can use without needing to map the interior, but it does need modifying like adding windows, textures, etc.
Hello , you can use this model of osprey for your mod Steamcommunity.com

No. Not just no hell no. You do realize that that is stolen from COD ghosts? If something like that was included it would get us sued and at a minimum will get us a cease and desist. We have already had at least one complaint from people uploading things to the workshop that were copyrighted. Don’t ever suggest something like this again. IF this is added as a workshop item it will all be removed.
Plus, as a modding team - make your own assets. This won’t survive as an actual project if you’re incapable of creating your own assets and have to resort to taking Gmod ones or ones from other games. Just don’t do it. Make your own stuff, and if you can’t, put together a team that can.
That is, if you’re interested in actually being quality. Which I’m dubious about, at the moment, given one of your screenshots was a brushwork Osprey interior, and given the presently shown attitude towards the community.
And yeah, as Brian said, if we sniff out any potential IP/copyright issues, we’ll take that shit down ourselves. We’ve already had enough trouble on that front, we’re not going near another mess like that.
Don’t see why you’d want to anyway, all the fun of modding and game dev in general is making things your own. Taking others work not only makes you look shitty but takes away that fun.
Because people are lazy and can’t be bothered to learn how to do something.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
