Black Mesa Music

Is it possible to swap the audio files like in the original game for your own taste? (Place your own music file with the same name as the old one in the folder) :stuck_out_tongue:

<__<

I use his music all the time for my own personal half-life source mods. The music sounds awesome, and makes the game seem a little bit more modern, in my opinion.

You just have to be the jackhole to say something that is obviously great sucks. You didn’t get much attention at home when you were young huh?

Listen to him, he knows! I remember seeing him as a baby, wondering around sector C Test Labs and modifying the poor scientist’s .cfg files!

Can’t say anything else than “haha” sarcasticly after reading your past few comments

to be honest … i don’t like any of his music … in my opinion it does not suit to hl or bms … it just doesn’t suit.

edit: i have to correct myself … the “theme” is really good … but the rest of the music won’t fit to the game

Listen to the first track here, then listen to Joel’s Surface Tension theme. Very similar styles. It would be wrong to say that the music won’t fit the game without seeing it first. You can see from the Black Mesa official trailer that Joel is very good at scoring music to fit perfectly with what you see.

Joel’s Surface Tension is way better. It’s my second favorite, next to the theme. The music fits great for this game, and I can’t wait to hear it IN-game.

You can see the future? Cool.

Joel’s BM music rocks out with its cock out.

Consider that sigg’d.

I second that

why not make the whole mod into a blasting 90’s raveparty?
i can lively imagine all the scientists and guards popping extacy and jumping around to dalek-music while the houndeyes and the vorts makes the lightshow

G-Man does the DJ’ing

nah, music is good (=
i approve!

(would have been a cool easter egg though) :stuck_out_tongue:

USE THE COCK!

This is even better that Ps2’s half-life 1 menu theme

I don’t have much to say about most of the music, but the theme is brilliant and I hope a full version will be available before too long!

Speaking of the PS2 Half Life 1 menu theme, here it is:

Joel’s music is way better than the PS2 menu music and I think that his music is better than Valve’s music except for the End Credits Part 2 that I heard on the Black Mesa website. I liked the Valve Half-Life 1 credit music better. Still, Joel is awesome and I have to say that his Surface Tension music is my favorite.

Oh you… :fffuuu:

I just have a different feeling towards the End Credits music… It seems too… jolly.

Does anyone know where I can find the longer version of this someone created? It starts out almost identical to this, but gets some guitar action later in the song… I used to have it on an old hard drive that has long since died, and now I can’t seem to find it anymore.

No, but please do inform me when or if you do come across it again.

Really? I thought the opposite, but I can see both.

Hey, that is NOT[/SIZE] fair!

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
