yes and all mods are “they Hunger.”
Yes I have. I wasn’t thinking of that mod when I made my earlier statement. I was thinking of other mods which use more assets from the vanilla game.
actually, Dillxn, I was referring to the fact that “They Hunger” shares few vanilla Resources with Half-Life.
I played all three episodes of They Hunger. I was talking about remaking mods that used a lot of original Half-Life 1 assets, like Cased Closed, Timeline series (which had custom stuff but still a lot of Half-Life 1 assets), Invasion, Escape, and a bunch of others that I am too lazy to list
I think his point was that most mods aren’t going to be like that.
Yes. Before black mesa’s release (see, present and past), nothing really stopped people from remaking total conversion (not right in this case, but you know what I mean, total as in nothing from half-life but the engine) mods like “They Hunger”, they just weren’t remade because nobody cared to. They existed on Half-Life, were great on half-life, and any remakes probably wouldn’t wind up as good. If people wanted to, they could have and can still remake those mods without Black Mesa being released.
However…
Black Mesa’s release would greatly ease the re-creation of mods that took place in Black Mesa type environments. Most of those were my favorite. I always loved the oddities in peoples “side stories” that really couldn’t possibly have fit in the universe.
