So crap… Storm took out my power briefly, and my good PC refused to start properly. I figured I just had to get my repair disk and do the repair process, so I got that and hooked up a CD drive. I guess I must’ve knocked an invisible cord loose because now the PC turns on, but won’t actually start, monitor doesn’t detect it, and I can’t find anything wrong at all inside. Add that to my recent sickness and you can gather that Mr. Murphy must be fuckin’ PISSED at me.
Oh damn, about two-thirds of the world’s population doesn’t have friends!! Now I know, where all this conflict potential is coming from. Wait a minute… Actually it’s the guys with the phones starting all the wars - confused

The day I downloaded Black Mesa, I managed to destroy the power supply of my external hard drive. So I didn’t completely escape Murphy that day…
The 2 caps on my monitor’s power board had been slowly dying for some some time now, so it wasn’t much of a surprise when they just couldn’t handle the awesomeness of BM’s visuals and blew up halfway through the game.
Luckily I had already bought replacements and less that an hour later I was back in the game.
The first download I downloaded was apparently corrupted, so I had to wait another three hours for the torrent to download.
But goddamnit, at least I seeded my torrent when I was done.
I missed work on the day that it came out so I didn’t get any pay until 2 weeks after.
Which resulted in almost 1 day without weed. :o
