Alright, I recorded what’s happening so you guys can see. Unfortunately nothing worked

You say that both your monitors turn off. Do you mean your computer turns off/crashes? What happens when you turn them back on? I’m not clear precisely what the issue is, and the game making your monitors physically turn off seems impossible to me.
Try running the game with only one monitor attached.
+1 Pcgamingwiki is a great resource for troubleshooting and tweaking. I use it all the time.
Sometimes only my monitors turn off so I can still hear sound and sometimes my computer just crashes, not shutting down, crashes. Can’t do anything on it if I don’t restart.
If I turn the monitors back on it just says the same message it would say if I turned them on while my pc were off.
Just noticed the video didn’t cover the problem. I’ll make sure you guys get the full video. Sorry
(I merged your posts into a single post.)
Sounds like it’s not physically turning your monitors off but instead making your monitors go into standby because they’re not detecting a video signal. I don’t know why that is, but it doesn’t sound like it’s turning your monitors off.
Here is the full video of how it looks. I can try running it with 1 monitor attached. It’s great quality, I promise

Using one monitor might work.

It worked!!! Using 1 monitor attached to the computer didn’t do any harm, the game works 100%
But we still have a problem. Why can’t I run Black Mesa without crashing with two monitors attached?
Alright guys!
Now it is working, atleast for now. I am going to play for a bit and come back with a result later. It seems that it fixed the problem by changing DVI input since the GTX 970 has two of them.
Alright, I came much further in game before crashing. But I did crash. I think the problem is the dual monitor. But I have a friend who has 2 monitors and it never struggles for him. What could the issue be?

It seems very weird indeed, do you know what OS your friend has?
Also, whenever you get get the game working properly again, perhaps you could take a close look at things in Questionable Ethics chapter, there is an ongoing ARG.
If you are interested then perhaps you could help as we are stuck and could use the help.
It is called The Pizza Code Mystery and is still ongoing.
