Black Mesa: Blueshift

In-game…

Nope

Portal uses cameras from each portal to create an illusion of seeing the other side using portals. Says so in the commentary tracks.

No mirrors lol. Next topic.

A blocked out canals :stuck_out_tongue:

See if you guys can figure out where these are in Blue Shift!

Yes. It’s before those bugged damn doors that simply refuse to open for me.

It looks large. It’s the area where the soldiers dispose two fat men.

This reminds me., will the soldiers up there actually react to being fired at?

Ok so yesterday i fixed the faceposer phoneme error and had no issues extracting phonemes. This morning I load it up and all of a sudden it no longer wants to work and is telling me to change my speech settings to UK even though it is already set to that.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Did you download that patch? If so, the SDK replaces those files each time you load it up, so you have to keep patching it. It’s a hassle.

I load faceposer through the widget so it shouldn’t be patching it.

Either way I replaced the files again and still not luck :frowning:

I’ve had so much trouble with these original wav.'s from Blue Shift that i’m considering getting into contact with the bm voice actors to see if they’d be interested in helping out :stuck_out_tongue:

What’s wrong with them? Quality issues?

Quality mainly but a lot of them aren’t extracting correctly which means I’d have to manually sync phonemes which i’m not particularly fond of doing.

I’m not choreographer or faceposer-er haha, so having to manually sync phonemes for a lot of the files is enough of a deterrent lol

I take it that’s the HD pack model. The original model was barely recognizable.

You do see Barney at the beginning of BMS, in a remake of the classic “door-knocking scene.” So, that would also need to be consistent. If I got my way, everything in OFS (OBMS) and BSS (GDS) that appeared in BMS (First Aid and HEV charger panels, snarks, weapons, map areas, models, etc.) would be the models used by BMS. Sadly, the BMS team did make all those models pretty much from scratch, and I don’t know if they’d want anyone else using them, even under permission.

EDIT: Dang it, it brought me to an earlier page again. DAHEQ, forums.

That would be very boring. Compare screenshots. The mods look very different. If they all looked like BM it would get bland quickly. It’d be like whenever a mod is clearly using a stock texture.

Heh, if you need to resort to the old files then I’d be willing to sync the phonemes them for you.

Needs a tiny bit more tweaking but I think it’s shaping up

This is at the cafeteria, other side?

show a video of Outbound please

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
