One idea. How about making a player model? You know, BM’s guard body+helmet with HL2 head with change of textures?
In my experience, body models in Source never look quite right. But not only that, it just wouldn’t work considering there’s no bodymodel in original BM.
It’s just my opinion, though. I wouldn’t consider it worth the effort.

I agree, it’s probably not worth the extra effort, but there’s no harm in using Black Mesa’s Guard for the model like he suggested.

Seem late to say this but,
The starting tram sequence map looks very bland, the now-dead mod The Shift added more buildings and looks more lively, that’s the only thing that The Shift done better. (Although I have to praise you for the use of double rails to fit in Black Mesa, and the food court? Damn, it looks good, The Shift’s food court looked very rushed)
