I think some people here have an internet connection that goes backwards in time, that would explain why they say the mod has been in development for 6 years.
It’s not as if Black Mesa got their inspiration from Dukem Nukem: Forever, They’re trying their best*, And I love each and everyone of them for that. :3
*cough[/size]
My Christian belief system has nothing to do with or can compare in any way to black mesa, its release or the stated release dates. :meh:
What’s so significant about that date?
Way to bring something completely relevant and useful to the discussion here. >
How did I miss that? I spent an hour last night proving my point when the person I was debating with said it himself in the very first post… BWAAAAA.:fffuuu:
Read my post again buddy…
The planets will align while we pass nemesis and get sucked into the black hole at the center of the universe during the rapture while the earths geomagnetic field is reversing and the sun suddenly gets much hotter and a gamma ray blast from a far off pulsar kills all life on earth. Duh.
Really though, I’d rather wait for a quality result, and I’ve got l4d2 to keep me occupied. It’s cool.
Jesus foresaw this.
Oy… I was being a smartass, because last I checked, “the end of the world” was 12/21/2012, not 12/12/2012. Duh.
He knew what it was, he was being sarcastic because the guy said 12/12/12 and not 12/21/12.
EDIT: :ninja:
What the hell does that have to do with anything?
I’ve had internet for three years and J-Dude is the dumbest person I’ve seen so far.
Why did you have to say that now? That was pages ago.
Anyway, let’s… get back on topic. If there still is one. :3
2010… Nice new number.
Why when I look at it, it seems like the future?
Try exploring the internet outside these forums, you’ll be quite surprised.
because its the future lawl 2010 = future 2008 = past 2009 = present LOL just kidding, still working hard on the mod guys! you all guys are welcome in spain :3
Valve had the nerve to have just one toilet in the whole game, ONE!
Not only is there going to be a toilet in each level in the remake, but the dev team are going to include shower rooms, launderettes, news paper stools as well as a fully functioning gymnasium :fffuuu:
His head can’t contemplate that many 12’s in a date; it would just explode
A toilet in every level, and a fully functioning gymnasium in every garage.
I never thought about that
or the fact that gordon never has to… um… GO even once.
I wonder if the extended development time could be spent putting a whizzing system on the drawing board…
So correct me if I’m wrong here, but this is more or less the sequence of events:
BM Devs: Hey! We’re creating a mod for HL2 that’s a remake of HL1.
Fans: Wow! awesome! What’s it going to be like?
BM Devs: Here’s a couple screenshots and stuff.
Fans: That’s going to kick ass. When do you think it will be ready to release?
BM Devs: It’s pretty hard to say. Pretty much “when it’s done”
Fans: Aw. Come on! Any kind of estimate or guess?
BM Devs: …Well, we’re aiming for a release date in 2009, but no guarantees…
Fans: YAY! We’ll be playing BM by the end of 2009. Wooo Hooo!
BM Devs: …
(FF to the end of 2009)
BM Devs: Well, it’s not quite ready, but we’re close. Sorry it’s not ready yet.
Outraged Jiihad fans: OMG WTF!!! YOU GUYS PROMISED!!! YOU LOSERS SUCK!!!
Normal fans: Well, better late than crappy. So what’s the updated release date expected to be?
BM Devs: …WTF?.. uh… no.
Sure, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I wish people could have some perspective.
Also, delayed release dates are par for the course when dealing with large game projects like this - even with large companies that work for money let alone unfunded community projects such as this. I can expect disappointment and maybe even surprise, but outrage isn’t really called for no matter how much you were looking forward to this.
