when its complete
On this page, not. But did you check the other 94 pages before this one? And what about the others threads?
And to be even more clear about the release date, check here. Question 2.1.
I fear this thread is on its last leg. Unless someone can come up with something useful to say about “Black Mesa 2009 Update”
Doesn’t anyone here watch the news or read the papers???
It was a miss calculation! (not that i believe that crap anyway)
It’s not in 2012 but 2208!
but okay, back on topic:
Are we going to get any information about the release/release date from BMS??
I don’t blame the dev team for the delay and i’m sure they are doing their best but, of course, some people can get a bit impatient after all those years. So if not released sooner or later, we can at least get some more information about the release, if possible.
i just want to know the month don’t care this year or next year
Edit: Damn it #1899 it was so close!
A new date/month is not going to be given so you can stop asking.
I’m also kind of getting sick of waiting
I’m also kind of getting sick of hearing people complain about it. The devs want to finish it just as bad as you want to play it.
Then… don’t?
I’m still a bit curious if the devs have an internal estimate for completion or not. I don’t need to know what the date is if there is one; I just wish I knew if there was a loose internal goal, or if they’re literally just developing until everyone says “eh, good enough.”
Oh well.
I imagine at this point they’d like to be done with it as soon as possible.
I think they might have internal goals, but ultimately they just want to get this over with already
That’s what I figured. I’ve been in the same situation before with personal projects (obviously nothing of this sheer magnitude though). It really is amazing how something you started as a fun little hobby can make you want to gouge your eyes out as you work on perfecting that last 5%. Setting hard goals (whether you tell people about them or not) can make it a little more bearable, but only slightly.
Well that’s what makes me despise people who say that they are “sick of waiting;” they don’t realize, for whatever reason, that [COLOR=‘White’]they’re not the people making the whole thing.
You know, this kind of reminds me of working at McDonald’s back in high school. So many people sick of waiting, when all I want to do is get them their burger so they can stop yelling at me from the other side of the counter and go have their coronary.
Now, I was a good employee mind you. I followed all the correct procedures, made sure everything was fresh, prepared properly, and safe to eat (not considering that everything at McDonald’s is the opposite of safe even when properly cooked). I wanted to do my job there, to feed the customers of my establishment, and attempt to feed them the best burgers and fries I could put together.
But for some reason, so many customers had it in their head that my entire goal with McDonald’s Incorporated was to usurp their existence and ruin their food. I had secret goals of just not making their order at all while looking busy, or making a shoddy crappy order just to shoo them away. If something went wrong, say if the computer system shut down and we couldn’t use credit cards, that meant we were trying our hardest to not serve the customers that keep us going as a business. Which is kind of the opposite of the entire objective.
Not to say all customers were like that. Our steady old customers that always got the same thing enjoyed the effort I put into making their orders, and the other regular and intermittent customers knew I was doing my job in making them the best I could with the tools I had as a McDonald’s employee.
But there was always the few customers that had to complain at every turn, and had to bitch and moan if I took four or five minutes longer than our fifteen minute standard to cook them a fresh batch of chicken so they could have the absolute best.
And to think I got paid to do that.
I love you, dude.
:s ob: I love you man. Thank you for getting me my big mac and I am sorry I rolled my eyes at you. :s niffle:
Yeah, that is kinda what the dev team feels.
I love you guys too. I was just serving my country! D: Fatty foods.
However beautiful that may have been, let’s use a non-MacDonald’s-related simile next time, so I don’t puke as I cry.
Or get hungry. I’m not a fan o’ those crappy burgers, but I love me some chicken noogets.
And as for you:
Shut up!
