Black Mesa 2009 Update

lol.

Whenever anyone starts talking like that ever, they start losing credibility. Just admit it, All your points are invalid which is why you didn’t make a reply to all those posts.

I know from a tiny bit of experience, that setting a release date is the worst thing to do if you have fans. 95% of the time it cant be released by then.

Strange, I didn’t know there was such a title. Especially since video game mods rarely (if ever before) collect active communities anyways.

Oh wait, I get it, by supposed, you meant that you had supposed, right?

 They dropped that years ago.

:fffuuu: I’d hate to see an idiot…

No, no they don’t. He actually makes sense, and when he complains, he does so about things that actually matter, and in a manner that makes people smile.

Who said this was the worst forum in modding? I’d also like to point out that most people who aren’t patient, understanding, and inteligent get flamed of/banned out of the forums.

Wow, you have been on these forums for ONE DAY, and you are already going to face the banhammer. Congratulations.

This is a mod from SCRATCH. I welcome you to try and make a mod like this in less than 5 years.

Keep up the good work devs!

back on topic: I am reading this forums for many years, and only this year I decided to register. Why? Theorically, this is a place where a society of fans of Black Mesa Source can talk, share ideas to improve the mod, etc.
If the mod is delayed, I am going to wait the release, no matter how long it takes. I agree with the argument of the devs when they said that 2009 would be a deadline for the release of the mod.

I will try to be as clear as possible here: when you start working on something (that you can like) with no initial prevision of a final date for delivering the product, time pass and you start thinking that you assumed a project that you can’t finish (and this is a nightmare, I know). A deadline doesn’t really means that there will be no delay. On the other hand, the deadline can provide a psycological refugee to the end of the project, like "lets finish this now’, and the group morale goes high to achieve this deadline. I tried to stay clear, really.

Joking: and as Forrest Gump says, “shit happens”.

Go foward devs. I really like your work. And J-Dude, go complain to someone else. We don’t need to hear your almost-trolling comments.

same situation here.

well, you fail pretty badly at emanating Yahtzee.

if anything your “criticisms” sound more like they came from this guy:

I think J-Dude is a real fan. He’s like the Galileo of this forum.

As much as I want to play this already, hey, perfection takes time. :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t bother replying, because if what I tell you doesn’t affect you the first time, why on Earth would it the next ten? I said what I believed, you said what you believed. Why should I try and refute that? I’m hardly changing YOUR mind, what would the point be? All I can say is that I do not agree. There are no real “facts” here, everything here is pretty damn subjective. So calling me an “idiot” in this conversation is merely the same as saying “lots of people here don’t think the same thing as you”. And questioning one’s intelligence based on their non-conformity is pretty silly if you ask me.

You’re angry at a mod for not being on time. That sounds pretty needy, selfish, and childish.

If you are as intelligent as you are saying, there shouldn’t be problems of your part with the “subjective” use of words adopted by all of us.

What? he’s 14 years old and sent to a rapid, fiery death in the atmosphere of Jupiter…? pleaseohpleaseohpleaseohplease

You forget he knows nothing about game development.
He probably thinks you just have to make a new text file that says “Better Graphics”

Except all you’ve done since you got here is bitch and moan about the delay.

Guys, don’t argue with an idiot, he’ll just make you stoop down to his level and beat you down with his experience.

you forgot your Massive Sarcasm Quotes there Acristoff!

should’ve been

Wait, isn’t that what you have to do? you mean the devs have actually been doing something for the last 6 years :open_mouth:

Acristoff is right. J-Dude should be sent to that place in our minds where can be read “Stupid things that we overcome”.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
