i personally dont see an reason in releasing an new trailer… game is almost fully made. they already have a lot of media and since game is almost done, why watch some new trailer when you will be able to play the full game soon.
about that xen pic, it really seems that it will look somehow like that and i must say “i really like ur work guys”

Well, i will give the developers a few more months to get it done, if buy then its still not done i will be leaving and be going to lurk somewhere els. where it don’t take six years. now in all 2160 days of the six years how many were actually spent developing?.. anyway i have seen the newest trailer and it scares me because what i saw at the front desk where you basically start off in the game, looks like they took props from HLep1/2 and just placed them on a desk and did not try to make it look cool and original

BMS is an remake of HL1 in HL2 Ep1&2… so it is logical that they will be using source engine and some textures, models and all that… there will ofc be a lot of custom ones too, but there is really no need to remake a lot of things just to know they use less of valves work… as well it would just take them maybe 2 more years to make all that, while we want it to be out asap.
i really dont care how much of stuff they use from valve, i think they did an awesome job in every aspect of game.
i think its better to wait few months more to play awesome game, rather then few months less which would destroy all 6 years of work!
and btw game is not done jet, what i mean is this: some levels or coding… still need to be done in order to pass the level, its not like they have full-beta game jet. this is as far as i know (some people say they are adding small details to game to make it look even more cool). well thats all true but i think there is still some work remaining on some basic things (i might be wrong) but anyway it will be out when its out and ill make sure to play it asap when its out.

And did you watch the rest of the trailer, or did your computer die because you couldn’t comprehend how good the trailer was? That, and you should probably watch it again, this time put it full screen and make sure its HD, they really look much nicer than the HL2 props.
This is correct. The only things they are using are the headcrabs and a couple weapons (with new skins).

They are using the shared resources which are using in the HL2 games, who knows how much of those resources they are using… but yes - you may see stuff from HL2
Last I heard they were also using the model of the G-Man from HL2. Did that change?
G-man should stay the same troughout the whole half life story, including HL1.
