Black Mesa 2009 Update

…FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK. My shit christmas just got fucking shiter.

cool story bro

I am still sobbing mahself. Have been all week. I… I… I… just cant get over… I dont even…

I’ll be back in a bit.

As it is rly upsetting, we all kinda knew it, but ofcourse like they said, this will make a better game, which isnt rushed, as always i cant wait for the day it comes out  good job guys, keep up the awesome work!

Well, I still have Call of Duty: World at War (1024x768 in my 22’’ monitor, let’s say that 9500GT is quite bad, at least I play in the maximum config.) and Assassin’s Creed to finish.

So… As the great majority says: “keep up the good work!”

And sorry my english, I’m brazillian and I’m still learning the language.

Gutted TBH :frowning:
Been looking forward to playing this year, but that’s just me being greedy

No one should be complaining seeing as its a free mod, and a labour of love!

Thanks for making an announcement rather than dragging it out
Oh well roll on BM:2010 (A Half-Life Odyssey)

Christmas is still on at least. Last I heard Santa was still doin his thing. :s niffle: So all is not lost.

STill stoked about how close we are tho.

The news dropped like a bomb! Well… Waiting the mod since 2005, so I’ll not die if exercise my patience for some months.

Cman2k, Raminator or someone else of the dev team, could you reveal us more details about why the mod was delayed? Dont get me wrong: I’m not pushing you, just being curious, cause I know the hard and wonderful work you’re doing.

@Brahx: Opa, um conterrâneo! Seja bem-vindo.

Too much to do, so little time.

What with RL and all.

I lol’d at Dillxn’s new sig… but I’m actually crying inside:’(
On the plus side, Kotaku.com is speculating that the delay means the BM team is taking time to polish the game enough to get it on steam.

also - in before someone posts a “hitler hears that BM is delayed” youtube video. Seriously, somebody make that happen.

Saudações!

Obrigado pela recepção! E avante!

Opa, mais um brasileiro aqui também. Hehehehe.

For the Devs: You guys should realease at least a demo of Black Mesa while we wait. Like the first chapter for exemple. It would be awesome. Please, just think about it

Nope.

I agree! =) Please give me something to be happy about at Christmas.

It’s a pity we’ll not get to experience your work at the end of the month but I’m glad you’re not willing to push an unfinished job out of the door. You’re taking pride in what you do, and this among other things is what keeps you from giving up and stopping to aim for the stars :stuck_out_tongue:

I said it in the past, I say it again: It’s a remarkable achievement you’ve gotten this far! This comes from, I believe, a good organisation and communication within the team as well as the will/motivation to get things done.

You’ve my entire support just as usual and I will continue lurking in the shadows.
Enjoy a break. You deserve it

A new release estimate would be helfpful at least.

And also it would be interesting to know, whether there are only a few minor things (like bug fixing and optimizing) left or whether there are still major things to do.

amirite?

No demos! they owe you nothing, you deserve nothing. Demos especially. The dev decided long ago no demos of part of the game. Besides you know that once you’ve had a taste you will be dying for more, and become even more impatient.

Not “He”, is “We”!!!:fffuuu:

Sadly, no.

Well, wtf boom Okay i can wait, just release some old stuff testing video.

Besides, trying to rush into actually releasing if for 2009 might not have such a good outcome, not much difference but…

Do some more Community Projects to keep me going! :3

Y’know, the fallout to this hasn’t been as bad as I thought it would be. Wait. Have I just jinxed it?

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
