Better Aiming

The model’s name is the MP5 in HL1, and that tells you everything you need to know.

i personaly dont like the modern day shooters whit thier realism

i like the old days where you could jsut shoot at you target and not swap aim mode before firing :fffuuu:

The crosshair in games are just used for getting used to aiming in the center of fire, where you know the bullets that are fired from the gun or melee weapon will hit.

Yeah, it was in HL I know that but I’m sure someone will make an overexagerated boobs version like fakefactory’s Alyx.

Nope, it comes from HD pack with Blueshift.

Same gun, you’re right but since it shares its ammo with the 9mm Glock, that’s not very realistic with an M4.

Well, it’s not really realistic for the MP5 to share ammo with the Glock either, because they use entirely different magazines.

Gordon would have to sit down criss-cross-applesauce and take out the rounds from the Glock magazine, then put them in an MP5 magazine. :stuck_out_tongue:

True but that wouldn’t be even possible with the 5.56mm of the M4 :stuck_out_tongue:

Definitely not.

Actually, because in HL Gordon already fills the empty or partial magazines lightning fast while you’re not looking, it makes a hell of a lot more sense for MP5 and Glock to share ammo pool, than it would for M4 and Glock.

Lol, you’re right. :stuck_out_tongue:

no ironsights there… it’s a centered weaponmodel… like in Quake 1 or HL1 Beta.

some weapons from half-life dont even have ironsights… like egon, gauss or hornet… + the feature was not in HL1 and I hope it wont ever be a feature of BMS.

btw. my favourite quote by a HL1DM progamer is this one:

OK and why is that quote here?

most games where the player has to manually use the weapon sights usually gives an accuracy boost as a trade-off for something else. Typically either lower movement speed, lower FOV or similar.

because it’s fine when gordon holds his gun like rambo and does not use ironsights.

update:
Personally I think it’s very important for a FPS, that the viewmodel exactly points towarts the crosshair. I’ve seen many custom weapon models for HL which have high polycounts and a nice detailed texture, but suck in positioning/animations… so I hope BMS will have HL1 styled origins and positioning. (weaponmodel is half-centered and points towards the crosshair)

Good thing each of the weapons has a screenshot of it in use so you can see how they will be positioned.

None of that shit.

AH HA HA HA!! xD You got me there.

Again if you would kindly read the FAQ or the WIKI you would know that BM will not feature iron sights with the exception being the crowbar.

Yeah, the weapons that shoot pure SCIENCE obviously shouldn’t have any sights. :stuck_out_tongue:

You guys seem really adamant about not aiming. I hope you never get into a firefight.

What are you getting at?

as 136247568 others have said, iron sights weren’t in hl, they won’t be in bm. i don’t even see why this thread is still open
