The Rock had a pretty kick-ass soundtrack.
As an ardent Star Wars fan I can obviously recommend those soundtracks, but Basil Poledouris’ Conan the Barbarian soundtrack is also freakin’ awesome!
28 days has GY!BE, ownse
I second that. I also grew fond in the OST for Ocean’s Eleven and it’s sequels. If you got decent speakers I recommend “Yen On A Carousel”.
Interstella 5555 hands down.
Jurassic Park. It’s not THE best, but it is one of the best.
I’m a fan of the strings from The Fountain, with that Clint Mansell composer-dude.

Yeah, I’m an ost freak
You could add “The Dark Knight” soundtrack from Hans Zimmer to that list - awesome music. Especially the main theme and “Molussus” are great.
I’m not sure that I’ve mentioned Rabbit Proof Fence. It’s an Aussie film so not that widely known, but it has some absolutely great songs.
It fit the movie perfectly, but most of the music from it was just two notes repeating again and again with building heavy percussion. Perhaps I’m just too much a fan of the Elfman theme for the original Batman movie.
The Dark Knight’s score’s only noteworthy part is the theme they used for Harvey Dent. Not sure what it’s called but it was ueed around him a lot.
Requiem for a Dream and the Quentin Tarantino films (-especially- Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction).
Oh! And The Music Man (motherfucking Shipoopi, bitches)
I really think this thread should confine itself to original movie soundtracks, instead of just compilation soundtracks that just happen to be used it a particular movie.

yah dark knight gets the job done but Zimmo really shines in sherlock holmes. the music was easily my fav part of it.
