BBMIP 15

Aw. :frowning: Well I’ll wait for it in-game in that case. Love what you’re churning out. Keep up the good work.

Just out of curiosity, what do you mean by a “2nd texture option,” would the user pick it as an optional texture during installation or would the mapper have the option to re-skin that particular model with that skin?

There are 16 possible texture slots for each model. You just have to compile it with the skin families lines in the QC. Then when you place the model you can pick which texture you use. We did all the changes in screens etc when you activate something with a trigger it then changes the texture (or subobject texture like a screen). I only have it set up for 2 textures and the 2nd one is for post UC stuff. Basically its an off texture.
In game shot.

I see, thanks for the insight.

I’m kind of liking the blue numbers.

Well all the current new consoles have red stuff as a bad thing so I changed to blue, unless it’s a color coordination thing.

My current WIP. You guys should be able to guess its location pretty easily.

For those that don’t know, take a look at the lower left-hand screen and think about it. Spoiler: It’s the Snark cannon console from QE.

Snark cannon room XD

That isn’t the only place it goes  .

Either the tentacle rocket propulsion test lab or the actual satellite delivery rocket launch center.

Either way, I love how top secret facilities have a big red button that says “Launch” instead of a little nondescript “Execute” switch or something.

For now. Gotta remember, they’re all WIP. Details could change.

It’s gotta be obvious to the players! Gameplay and player direction comes first, always.

What Chon said. I remember back in the early days of computer gaming, I think System shock…running around trying to find a button that looked like all the other stuff in the game and access cards. None were obvious. Today its all mash E now…l.

Neither, its in the next room where the head crabs and the bullsquid are in QE.

Finishing off more consoles. The old tesla console was very “busy” detail wise and really didn’t look like it had a function (detail wise). I removed all the old stuff and added new and redid the UV/texture.

Enjoy the last ones for awhile… work is going to be really busy for the next few weeks.

[COLOR=‘Red’]Deleted some derailing posts

Nice that looks much better and fits the scene quite nicely.

So the joys of a long development cycle keep showing up…found a model that needed replacing (reason not important)…The original was weirdly scaled and quite ugly. This one is better scaled at least. Not settled on the color…but I have a bunch like this in my closet lol.

Interesting. Now that object makes sense.
