Batman: Arkham Knight announced (by Rocksteady)

Oh, that’s the part in the prison area with Harley, right? There’s a visual cue when the plates are about to go up. Like a crackling or a brief bright light with a warm-up noise. That’s when you switch areas and get the hell off the plate before being fried.

I could deal with the floor, it’s just I died a few times, got tired, and never bothered to try again. I usually pick a game to play based on what will be fun, so when I quit a game at a frustrating point it can easily kill the game for me.

I persisted past it, but I’ll be honest the game just didn’t feel fun enough for me to actually finish.

I think I actually got very close to the end too.

It was very good, but felt kinda repetitive after a while. The story wasn’t particularly fetching, either, though that may be because I’m not a comics nerd.

Egh, fucking Pyro.

Asylum was full of unrefined experimentation that was praised mostly because of the fact that every previous non-spiderman superhero game has been beyond godawful. In an ocean of “sudden-attack-of-food-poisoning-shitting-out-both-ends-while-in-line-to-board-cross-country-flight” tier bad, then “good but really repetitive” is fucking godsend.

City nailed it though imo. I genuinely think it was the best game I played that year. And that fucking ending. And those fucking credits. jesus shitting christ.

Haven’t played Origins. From the sounds of it, I don’t think I need to. At the same time, I sorta waaant to even though it’s just City over again with different cutscenes.

This though, Rocksteady’s back. I’m excited.

I actually liked Asylum more than City. The plot was much tighter and more gripping, the world map was big but not so huge that you could get lost, and it had that nice Metroidvania feel of unique locations inside the buildings and using new equipment to open areas in previous areas that you couldn’t get to before.

City had lots of stuff to do, lots of area to cover, but the plot just got lame around Ra’s Al Ghul. I still have yet to finish it, but I also know the big plot event at the end already because I love accidentally spoiling myself and shit.

Even though you’ve heard about it, actually experiencing it is a whole nother thing.

Moar screenshots

Are these caps from a video or something? Compression is bad (edit: oh, Photobucket…), resolution strange.

I hope the actual game doesn’t over do it with the blur and lens flares

Those are taken from the OPM as it seems that they are covering the game at the same time as GameInformer.

That armor looks pretty sick. Is batman wearing power armor now?

Straight from their facebook page:
" The new Batsuit features a titanium-dipped mesh over a layer of MR fluid-based liquid body armor, offering increased flexibility for greater combat effectiveness."

Rocksteady Penguin is the best fucking Penguin ever.

Those screenshots look great! I’m really looking forward to getting this game when it’s released.

I don’t know if I’m willing to trust that the game won’t be toned down as of late.

Unlike Watch Dogs it’s next gen only and PC so I see no reason for such thing to happen.

oh god not this asshole again

I KNOW he’s suppoused to be there because he makes the achievements justified in context, but I find him so motherfucking annoying. At least he has the decency of looking like Jim Carrey now.

Damn that looks sexy. Also, Asylum and City were both great, but I always liked Asylum more. The world and plot felt much more coherent. It was just so much better focused. City lost a lot from being too open. Also playing as Catwoman blew. Fuck her. She’s just nerfed Batman.

That’s sexist.

I thought Catwoman was a good character in her own right.
