I was wondering if it would be possible to find out what base Source shared content the mod will be using since I also have FakeFactory’s Cinematic mod which has heavily modified base Source shared content. He would let you use his content in your mod if you just notify/ask him. The mod features high-resolution improved skins, models and sounds for HL2, episode 1 and 2.

Umm yeah cool, but they are making their own textures, sounds and models. They are using some of the shared content but it doesn’t really matter. Oh and as far as I know you will still be able to use fakefactory’s textures but it will look out of place since most of the content is custom.

80% of all people who dowload FF get just because the jigglebone feature. I got it because I wanted HL2 to look really nice, but he changed the music so its more “cinematic”. The game doesn’t feel like HL2 without the original soundtrack.
I actually like the new soundtrack. The whole reason I downloaded it was because I wanted something new, not the same old HF2.
The new music does add atmostsphere and it does make scenes a lot more dramatic, but during the fight scenes Valves techno beats get me so pumped and make the battle feel really intense,.
I always hated the majority of Half-Life 2 soundtrack. FF does add some higher resolution textures and cool soundtrack, but it’s ultimately not worth the harddrive space.
Now you up and made me want to go through Half-Life 2 again listening to “Dear Hearts and Gentle People”.

When I downloaded FF, I only kept some of the map additions and a few textures. Those models are posh as fuck.
