Banned

So I’ve noticed a ton if banned members with high post counts (1000+) and was wondering what the reason for the bans of such veteran posters. I’m obviously new to this forum and I’m just wondering what sorta things i should avoid doing to avoid the wrath of the moderators, besides the obvious of coarse.
Thanks for reading,

They’re all dickheads basically.

Because it’s funny.

Some people fap to the banned members log

So its safe to say I can freely talk about masterbation and cuss without getting banned. If the mods are this laid back the people that got banned must REALLY have been dicks.

If you really want to know with how much you can get away with, then stick around for a good while and be an active user.

Sometimes high post count doesn’t mean anything when you act like an ass. Of course each case was a case… Other reasons apply.

But no one here will simply ban you without a reason. If those people were banned, it was because they deserved.

To avoid this, first golden rule is: don’t treat others in the way you don’t want to be treated. Other pro-tips to survive here is to lurk a bit, read much as possible before posting etc. More things bellow. Just follow the arrow:

I’ve been lurking for a while and I even tried to search the forum to see if my specific question had been asked before. I frequent alot of forums and I am even a moderator in one but I know every forum is different and the plethora of banned members made me curious. Anyways thanks for the links in your sign I will be sure to read them thoroughly.

The only worthwhile veteran member I’ve seen banned was Dillxn, and that’s because he had this huge aneurysm and decided it would be great to try and hack into Ram’s account.

Pretty sure it was his beloved Jesus that told him to hack Ram’s account in a dream.

I’m a huge fan Half-Life and a huge fan of the potential that this mod has. I fully exspect to be an active member. I would of been on sooner but I must of been under a rock because I just heard about Black Mesa for the fist time like 6 months ago. I guess I’m lucky in a way… but anyways I’m looking forward to being an active member to this community!

Depending on how long we still have to wait for the mod to come out I guarantee your boner for HL will go away and soon you’ll be hanging around here more than the other forum sections.

If that happens, remember, dicks are always a relevant topic of conversation.

Rofl ill keep that in mind

I’ve been here for so long I don’t even think about BM anymore.

It’s not hard for any comment involving BM to make me giggle. You’d think after half a decade I’d be over that, but you’d be wrong.

Yeah, this forum is full of hilarious hijinks, but can be serious and respectable when it’s called for, but it’s mostly the hijinks part. Also lurking a bit is good to get to “know” some of the more frequent members. You seem to be quite intelligent, so you should be fine.

yeah, i’m still tickled to death over the idea of BM. i’m pretty sure my friends are sick of hearing about it after all these years.

This forum is like school. At first you go there to learn something but after twelve years you have no fucking idea why you are still there.

Are you talking about permabanned members, or the steady stream of temp banned people that flow in and out of there?

If it’s the permabanned folks, it’s because they are fucking shithead bastards, most likely. (unless you are Ramrezoid who had a hacked account go on a porn spree, in which case you will be out of there as soon as everything on your end is sorted out.)

If you are talking about temp bans, if you are an old member it can be for any old random thing, but newbies don’t get banned without a proper reason.

I’ve been banned eleven times. I think I’m one of the most banned people here? Though I’m pretty sure winged has me beat and maxey just earned another point the other day. >_>

Oh my god, I had totally forgotten about Ramirez’s hacked account haha, that was awesome.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
