Ask a Dutch person

I went to Legoland (or some lego museum or something) with school when I was a little kid. It must have been in Belgium or somewhere in the Netherlands not too far over the border.

I only smoke pot when I want to

WOOHOO NO GOVERNMENT! But seriously, I think our prime minister is gonna be some huge asshole like always.

There’s a few potentional leaders, but for some reason people keep voting for far-left political parties - the ones that fucked up this country far beyond recognition already (and as you mentioned, once again their government collapsed, and guess what; people still want to vote for them, AGAIN)
What we need is balance, more right-wing politics.

Atleast the people aren’t voting for religious parties anymore, the last thing I want is some religious nutjob telling me how to live my life. :fffuuu:

pot?

POT?

POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTT!?!?!?!?!?! GAAARRRRRRRRRRGHGGGH:rage:

jk

How many people speak English there? Is it a popular language to learn?

The English language is a part of the basic education in the Netherlands, everyone who goes to school in the Netherlands can speak and write English to some extent. I actually prefer the English language above my native language.

^What he said basicly.

English is so prominent in Holland, that they even started taking english verbs, and “Dutchify” them… “Ik ga je fucken” instead of the proper “Ik ga je neuken” (I’m going to fuck you)… But then the Flemish turn it into an even more awesome “Ik goan a poepeuh” or “Ik ga dje poep’n”.

Aahh, language, tis fun.

But ye, the Dutch and the Flemish are generally pretty decent in English, the Flemish are even decent in hiding their accent, while the Dutch have a harder time hiding the fact that Dutch is their native language.

^What he said again. It’s retarded.

I must say though, I have noticed lately that a lot of people my age can’t speak English properly. It’s sad, really.

Pronounce this for me.

Belgians have to know both dutch and french, and then english on top of that for anything internet-related, some people use english more than dutch here.

I guess phonetically in English: “Eck hah d’yuh poop’n”

Not sure though, but that’s how I would spell it phonetically.

Try Microsoft sam :awesome:

Despite Shengen is this bullshit Border in any way considerred?

Why not swap the useless enclaves and draw a proper line?

Why are there so many little enclaves consisting of two and a half fields? Are they made of gold or something?

Believe me if I say: I’m still trying to figure that out.

How come Dutch don’t know anything about geography? When I meet random people and they ask me where I come from I say Montenegro and they are like :jizz:. Ok then I say I come from former Yugoslavia which is more known and they are still like :jizz:. Also Dutch people mostly can’t pronounce my name properly in Dutch.

Nah, for Western Europe, Yugoslavia/Croatia/Serbia/Kosovo/Slovenia is the forbidden forest. Nobody goes there, nobody talks about it. Nobody wants to remember it, nobody wants to read about it in history books. Rule one of proper Europe Club: You do not talk about the failures of the past.

But to be fair, the entire patch of ground there is as pointless as a broken pencil.

idk. Many people I know are decent at it.

Nah it isn’t that they don’t want to talk about t they are just dumb… Oh and we are not pointless at all. We got the Adriatic Sea and we are at least better than Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine and all those other eastern bloc states.
