I think the obvious conclusion would have to be something along the lines of ‘this guy’s an ignorant assklown’, but at the same time, I have a real feeling of pity for them, and sorrow, not just for them, but for all of us. Their lives are wasted, and they cause a LOT of very real, very serious problems for all of us. It’s tragic. But c’est la vie.

It wouldn’t be obvious to an American that he is trolling, because - even though I’m aware that he isn’t American, everything he expressed is perfectly in line with the dominant form of American Christianity, and all these points and arguments are very well known to most Americans, as we are bombarded with this shit on a daily basis.
That’s not to say that ALL American Christians agree with these positions, but they are certainly and by far the most popular. But his specific arguments and positions regarding reproductive choice, homophobia, scriptural interpretations, etc - these are absolutely the positions of mainstream American Christianity - no doubt.
For example, if Catz still participated in BM forums and had been involved in that discussion, I fully expect that she would have held the same basic positions and made the same basic arguments …with a few 'sweetie’s thrown in.
