[ARG] The Pizza Code Mystery

has anyone taken the grilled pizza image and tried to skew it? So it has 90 degree orientation instead of diagnal lines ? The possibly using negative space lettering? Like those weird illusions that u can’t make out letters unless you zoom out?

The periodic table posters do have something hidden and it looks like this.

sooo, lets say this means… “TIMES UP”, 419648… what would the digits mean?
2012-09-20_00009.jpg

Someone actually pointed that out before.

pic?
LOL, fun fact, those numbers on the box 419648, is the genetic code ID for GALLUS GALLUS, Also known as CHICKEN

hmmmmm?

spent some more time thinking about stuff that I know, which isn’t much, but I do know helicopters, especially blackhawks, l/m/k/a, take your pick. in flight, you have your normal cockpit banter, but there are also crew duties that get sorted during preflight briefing, radios, transponder fills, and ky58 fills, basically loading the correct information for frequency hop across several different radios, uhf,vhf,fm1,fm2, etc…the most important part, flying stateside or combat, you need to be RADAR ID’d at all times, as you fly to wherever you are going, you check in with multiple airports, to receive your squak… its a code that you punch in to your transponder. Blackhawks use mode4, I don’t know much about civilian, but from what I skimmed through, its mode3/a (if anyone knows more on that, I have some questions).

In combat this is known as IFF, part of your ecm systems… Ident, friend or foe. and in the states, its just so towers can keep tabs on you, which sector your flying in, kind of aircraft so they know what altitudes to assign. I was really bothered by the images on the airfield that were posted up a little while ago, one looking like a compass swing, and the digits, 4032, it said it was elevation. Just below KXBM. I Checked every airfield I could find, military, civilian, eeeeeverything. But I could not find one with the given runway headings, that matched that elevation.

Back to IFF, so, you are assigned a vector depending which direction your are heading and what you are trying to do, the flight plans would be submitted prior, so that the airfields along the way can open and close the flight plans for sake of a paper trail in case you screw up, or something bad happens. You get handed off to each new airfield that is controlling whatever area you are in. You may be given a heading or altitude deviation, followed by a new squak. So, about squak codes, many are reserved for certain aircraft, military, civilian, and so on. If your comms go down or something happens, you can change your transponder to a previously briefed, or standard code, that may mean emergency or hijacked, many different things, also different by countries. Whats funny is the number 4032, transponders are Base 8, so the highest code possible is 7777. When an in flight emergency happens, anything from engine failure, to punching into the clouds. if you lose visual of the ground when you are vfr (v=visual, I=ifr means instrument) if you punch in to the clouds, you are to set your transponder to an emergency code, which in this case is 7700, climb to a given altitude, and heading and try and contact tower for further guidance. 7700 means emergency, but if you change that to base 10, its 4032. The image that I posted a few days ago, which is on storms Google+ page. Shows a character in aviation garb, thinking about “the plan” with a timebomb next to it. it wasn’t until today that I thought “flight plan” so what if KXBM=4032??? or something along these lines? maybe numbers need to be changed from base to base then decrypted again, I know that’s been mentioned before but we haven’t really had any idea of a letter key. So i’ll be trying kxbm=4032 and whatever other codes I can find. Worth mentioning though, there are reserved codes, the pic of the aviator, “the plan” and a bomb, maybe its a flight plan for a bomber. reserved codes for the SR-71, U2, and bombers range in the 4xxx. one of them being 4477.

I also have a couple of questions on this image that was posted before, that shows the 4032, what context is it in, where in game is it? It doesn’t look like a military hangar area, although, the top brass do fly around in those type of jets that is in the picture, the vehicles next to it, typical flight line security, and I cant tell if that’s a fuel truck or a firetruck. (fun fact, FBO girls are always slammin, usual eye candy, either they are there to flirt with rich civilians that fly through, so when next they fly, they come back to that FBO. Or, its a a pretty girl looking to Hook and reel in a rich guy, seriously, try stopping by one just to take a look.) so yeah, more info on this image would be greatly appreciated.

so running the text through its paces like mentioned above, changing from base to base, once I would get all letters I would put it through some different decryptions, and let cryptocrack try to knock it out, and this is what it came up with, still messing with it, likely nothing, but thought there was some pretty interesting words in here that may just be a letter off, send, me, cake, oceanic, call, name, bag, etc…

I got this by changing from hex, to base 12, from 12 to 10 and 8, then throwing the results through cryptocrack.

Hey guys, just to let you know: I finished my Pizza Playthrough the other day, but I did not come across anything peculiar.
I used noclip in some areas just to check some otherwise not accessable areas but I always loaded back to a savepoint where I hadn’t had used any cheats. So, this shouldn’t have been a problem.

The only “strange thing” happend at the teleportation labs in Lambdacore, right before the final battle. There is this female professor who introduces you to the Long Jump Module. When I approached her with the Pizza, she turned to me and said something along the lines: “Oh, thank god, I thought you were one of them” before the continues with her usual speech about how the Long Jump Module works. The funny and strange thing about this is that when she says that out-of-place line her voice is kind of lisping. It really sounds funny.

I tried to recreate this yesterday and wanted to record it, but I couldn’t get it to work again, while I first discovered it, it always happend when I reloaded. This is actually why I think this might have been more of a bug than anything else. A pretty funny one, though. As this line surely sounded like a blooper or something.

But speaking of guards mentioning pizzas: there is this other guard in Lambda core. You encounter him, when taking one of the teleporter in the teleporter puzzle area (the one where on each level you have to choose the right one, in order to get higher). He is with two scientists and while one of them recognizes Gordon as one of the AM guys, the guard says “And I though you were the pizza guy!” They didn’t mention anything else, even though I actually BROUGHT some Pizza! Pretty sure you all know of these guys, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

It was fun playing through the game with a pizza, and sometimes it makes the game a lot harder. The Garagantua chase was huge pain!

If i remember rightly its one of the skybox textures, cant remember which map though.

any chance anyone has run through it with all letters being variables of true or false, 1, 0? Ala boolean truth tables?

B32 ,B00=== 132 =t, 100 =f???
I have been going over old resources that were put out, Tim evans, kxbm, and other stuff. I save whatever images that have been put out and looking at the original file names.
One image file name is b-aLogic… taken from time _ van’s twitter page that went with kxbm.net. just a thought…
Tim evans, sometimes writer of truths…
Storm seeker. Don’t trust anyone…

playing through again today, looking for something new, I had come across a redit q and a that I had not seen. in it, a hint is given as “boats” old news I know, but new to me. this brought me to semaphores, flag signaling, heliograph signaling. I was running around using my flashlight on different things hoping to get a response in morse. or trying to reflect the sun of of dr. horns sat dish’s at his shack. nothing worked. then I went through Lambda core to try the same thing. I came across something that was different this time. There was a switch, that before I had to switch from off to on before that would rupture lambda core just prior the the 247 portals. This time, it was ON, and not off, i decided to see if i could progress without setting it off. I COULD, now this changed something else, the part where the 247 portals were, there were NO NUMBERS on any of the portals, everything was the same, except there were no numbers for reference. Maybe if we do a different combination of the portals it may lead somewhere? here is a pic of the switch in the on position, that i can turn off, but once off, i cant turn it back on, so i left it on and was able to move forward. maybe its just a glitch? thought it was worth mentioning.

Drgibbles, do you know how to use cheat codes in source based games? You can do some useful things with them. It is easy to do.

yup, sure do, working on it, trial and error taking a bit

heres an updated pic showing what I meant with no numbers, also, and maybe I have just never noticed, but are guard skins random? some places may spawn this guy, or spawn another guard on a different play through?

What’s the story of the pizza?

was just tyring to take it everywhere, someone had mentioned prior that a guard in a room says you should bring pizzas…then if you go through portal 5 you end up in a room with 2 dr’s and 1 guard, the guard says “ah man, I thought you were the pizza guy” so I was going to try and bring that guy pizza, I went back and got a pizza after he said that, brought it to him, and it triggered nothing, so next time I’m on, ill go back and bring him a pizza first try to see if that triggers anything.

already did that. Didn’t do anything. I took the pizza all the way from QE there. Nothing happend unfortunately.

BREAKTHROUGH???

I need some help with this, I’ll try and explain this as best as I can. The grilled pizza image, we couldn’t exactly figure out what it meant, aside from you won the pizza. There has to be more to it. When you change the back round and slide it over a transparent layer, take a look at what happens, it looks super sloppy. This MUST be intentional. To make triangles in side triangles 2 separate colors, it would not look like this. Searching for online hints about the mysterious stormseeker, I found a page that he has designed, (i don’t know if i should post the link, for privacy reasons, maybe i’ll get a msg saying its ok. Just trust me, I did the research, he made this page.) When looking at the source of the page, there is text in it, similar to ascii pictures, but it spells something. It spells CHRIS HORN, followed by a line of text that says, ITS NOT NICE TO STEAL. It looked strange yet familiar to me. The way the letters are somewhat 3d, yet skewed from left to right. Now look at each individual shape of each letter. It is a diamond. Now look what happens when you isolate EACH letter and stack them on top of each other(condensed image). Does it look familiar? It should. There is no top triangle of the diamond, nor bottom, and the letters are connected at the RIGHT side of each, look at the grilled pizza image. The bottom right of the image is left open, where the letters would connect. I have been trying to figure out how to separate the letters, Zooming in a lot There are several different colors used, This is NOT on accident, it is INTENTIONAL. There are Bright white, grey, Distorted and lines that are stacked upon each other, a double stack meaning, that there are two letters that have a dash in that position. Ive labled each one. I only have mspaint, so i don’t have good tools, nor am i good at image editing, So I’m asking for some help here. Can someone that knows how to work layers and such, separate these out by the different Line colors and shapes? Any input on this would be appreciated,

I’m Hoping that I may have found something else that goes with the 752 code. Please take this with a grain of salt, it makes sense to me, but i’m not too skilled at logic problems like this. So help here would be appreciated as well.

The kxbm picture names led me to this, it’s not hex, it’s not code. It’s a logic problem, I’m guessing it goes both directions. Specifically, it’s a Horn satisfiability problem or HORN-SAT, Horn clause , lol, of course that’s what it is called right? ? I “Think” I have a slight grasp of the concept anyhow, for instance (123 = 3-2=1= true 174= false) so I think it is if you can make variable equation work. It’s true, but you can only have one positive number? Something like that, this also works with 21 into 1,… 2-1=1=true, or on the clock, its 10:12, 2-1-1=0=true, what do you think? I’m posting some links that explain this at a level well above my head. I get the concept, but like i said, its a tad above me. So maybe true=1 and false=0, also, maybe the string has to be run both directions, I would like some thoughts on this as well,

To be honest about grilledpizza.jpg, i think we have gotten every bit of information out of it. Figured this out even after the use of steganography. However the text on the html page bothers me for some reason. Maybe something is hidden in it.

That is not at all how HORN-SAT works.

First off, SAT is short for satisfiability. It is the name for the general problem of finding an assignment to BOOLEAN variables such that the resulting conjunction (ie. logical AND) of boolean clauses is TRUE. It is a very difficult problem to solve in general.

HORN-SAT is a special case where the boolean formula is a a conjunction of HORN clauses. A horn clause contains at most one non-NEGATED variable. This problem is much easier to solve due to its structure.

The variables in these formula are over boolean space, meaning that they are 1/0 (TRUE/FALSE). Nowhere does it state that you can just plug in integer values and start performing arithmetic to arbitrarily declare TRUE/FALSE.

You’re in over your head dude.

pretty sure I stated a couple of times that i was unsure on how exactly it works and that I don’t understand it. Hence asking for help and input. Being that you have an understanding of it, how could it be applied?

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
