[ARG] The Pizza Code Mystery

This has been already noted. And it might mean something, we just don’t know at this current point.

Found a new pizza location in the vent immediately after the talk with the scientist about how they are tracking you in Apprehension. When you fall down the vent, make the only left turn, and then you can either go left (correct) or right (dead end). It’s behind the see through vent panel if you decided to turn right, just no-clip through it.

Add six, hi, go play front hifi (somewhere) for reloop reel?

Did anyone else make any headway on this one? I think I’m reaching tbh.

Yeah, we already got some numbers from it. The sum is 1404, which might be one of the ABCD codes, but your guess is as good as mine.

Might be completely irrelevant, but in chapter “unforeseen consequences” there’s this crate room and in BM’s version, there’s a room with locked doors. Anyone noclipped there?

Yeah, I just noticed it that. It looks like a good place to check out.

Where is that one? I have a theory, but I need to get there in game.

Its in the flowing sewer water area, just where your meant to load into the new map. if you pass it, you find the words on a wall to the right.

I already tried converting our long number string into binaray ascii etc. and had not luck whatsoever. Also I spotted that grille thing in a painting i spawned yesterday while playing around in gmod, pity I didn’t notice it.

Don’t forget the keyboard in that area, is slightly different to the one in ep2.

The letters and numbers on a computer are made up of binary. That might have a relation to something.

Good luck with this puzzle.

Dunno if this has already posted, but I’ll post it anyways. Has nothing to do with solving the ARG, though. More of a taunt for those of you who are trying to solve it. :stuck_out_tongue:

It has already been posted, has everything to do with the ARG, and no, its not a taunt.

The surface tension cliffside secret: https://forums.blackmesasource.com/showthread.php?t=14237

Likely relevant to pizza code mystery.

No idea if this has anything to do with anything but i noticed in this image posted in another thread that there is only 4 numbers lit up 1579

That lead us to code B. Was in the same room as the cafeteria

Very interesting… very interesting indeed…

I feel like it couldn’t be that easy though.

However, the numbers might not go in that specific order.

MORE OBSTACLES!:fffuuu:

Are we really doubting Code B’s legitimacy? I mean, I guess there’s a chance it’s not, but the first thing I saw when I looked at the different pictures was this:

Perhaps I think too simply though.

EDIT: Additionally, I decompiled the cliffside map and went to the secret area to check for anything extraordinary. The only thing of note is that there’s one particular overlay that doesn’t render properly in game. Here’s a comparison.

That picture of the runway seems to matchup with the other main picture in the room. Here’s the two of them:

I don’t have any idea if this asset is used elsewhere or is relevant to the ARG, but I thought I’d show off what I’ve found.

EDIT EDIT: On reflection, maybe this is just a jab at the Society for Flight Test Engineers thing.

Hey all, was reading through this thread last night and think you might have got lost on the type of encryption.

I saw mentioned the RSA type somewhere in here and reading the wiki, certain parts stuck out with regards to the current codes:

Firstly looking at how you create the number keys for this type of encryption:

  • 0851 is a product of two primes, 23 x 37 - admittedly low compared to those used in examples, but it’s an ARG which shouldn’t need NASA to solve it. So potentially we have n = 0851
  • 1001 fits the criteria for e perfectly, we potentially have a value for e as ‘9’
From these figures we can get the value of d
In addition (and possibly a long shot)

There’s lambda signs in the Public Key Cryptology Standard version…

Now I can work out the lambda value as 396 if that’s the method they’re using but I never studied modulus math and have no idea how to then program something that could decrypt the ciphertext - so no idea on how to do the rest of this - I’m trying to read up on the maths bit now.

FWIW - the final decryption key we need is m = c^d ( mod n)

c is the ciphertext
d is as above
n is 0851
m is the message text, but possibly modified by a ‘padding scheme’

Hope this helps someone - sorry about the bad math notation, check the wiki for the correct, easier to read versions.
