[ARG] The Pizza Code Mystery

No, because in the control room there is a monitor that lists the time as 9:11 I think.

well, hand clocks are never really accurate anyway, there is not much difference on the clock hands between 9:03 and 9:11

maybe the ARG is to be completed when the mod’s finished?

anyways ive never experienced anything like this ‘game inside a game’ and like many have become interested in solving this… ive been playing a lot and trying to see everything from a different perspective:

This image is found on many computers troughout the game… in some instances its beggin for you to check it out:

I turned the brightness down and killed the color and its readable (some of it). Looks like someone sending you an email and writting about a helicopter accident, it says a woman died and there are wounded victims from the crash… its prolly nothing but the amount of detail in the screen makes me paranoid. Here’s a normal look at it in game

Inside Horn’s shack in surface tension i found a book with handwritting on the cover but cant quite make out what it says

In Questionable Ethics i found this coffee mug that says ‘42 is the answer’

I know many have seen this one but ive been thinking what could the 247 number mean… maybe its 24/7 like all day all days?

‘This is some important text’ it starts like that and then dissolves into this "i suck and everything’s always my fault’ rant… its kinda like a suicide note. I solved this simple math exercises the answers: (535)(-111)(131) cant get anything out of them… the dots next to the first problem and the numbers below dont make any sense.

Maybe the important text is in the blue screen below? its pretty much unreadable anyway…

This also caught my eye but cant see enough to make something out of it… still some words and numbers are understandable

I dont think the IRC clues were a 'must’ to solve the riddle… i think the answer lies inside the game… at some point someone will solve the next step and we’ll be closer… i know we’ll see the end of this ARG

Um, 42 is a Hitchiker’s Guide reference, and 247 is the solution to the teleport portal jumping puzzle so not part of the ARG.

I believe this says “Please use this book to record office hours”, so it’s probably not vital to the ARG. As for the helicopter news article, I mentioned that during the beginning stages of the ARG, and Storm said it was simply a random article he had up at the time of the screenshot; I doubt it’s important. No harm in checking over things in the game a second time, though!

Also, I’d note that the helicopter crash text is a genuine news story. I can’t find the exact article but this: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2011/oct/05/british-woman-killed-helicopter-crash has all of the same details. Given that someone died it’s unlikely they’d use this story as part of an ARG.

Edit: After searching this thread, I’ve discovered that the actual article has already been linked to here: https://newyork.cbslocal.com/2011/10/06/ntsb-finds-no-engine-failure-in-east-river-helicopter-crash/

The “email” is this story from the Telegraph.

Tempus Omnia Revelant has been sticking in my mind ever since you wrote this. It just sounds like a clue, “…reveals all”

I was looking at the clock in the lounge/cafeteria area at the beginning of Questionable Ethics and noticed that there is a legend on the the large wall clock across from the three abstract paintings. Upon that clock can be found “Clockers”. That too was stuck in my brain.

There are one or two popular culture items that relate to “Clockers”, first is the 1992 novel “Clockers” about a cocaine dealer by Richard Price, which I have not read. Perhaps it employs a password, cryptogram, cypher, or code somewhere in the plot. Or maybe even something like the library of congress number or Dewey Decimal number could be of use…

ISBN = 0-06-093498-0
OCLC = 45963011
LC =PS3566.R544 C56 2001

Perhaps someone who’s been trying all kinds of passwords with the possible cipher types, could try those numbers above

Second, there is a movie by that same title directed by Spike Lee which is an adaptation of the novel by Price. If anyone’s seen this, do you remember any password or anything like that used in the movie?

lol this is getting intresting looking at clocks, pretty sure there is a reason for the time difference between the clocks, and i doubt it would mean it took freeman only 8 minutes to get from place a to place b.

think ill go replay it soon and check for clocks :smiley:

so i was reading tru the wiki and only the HALOS code needs solving?

…to get to the next stage of the ARG, yes.

iv deferntly missed a lot of pages, but after reading quikcly tru wiki and the args blog i find something that i dont realy see covered

might just be mising it

the website as mentioned in the blog
https://thestormseeker.com/thepizzaisalie/1001085139140914.html
the grilled pizza is obiusly a code (or is that the halos code ?)
and there is a hidden text
"They stole the lie, as if that matters to me, HALOS is far too complete to stop now. They can’t hide there, not now, not now I have this, this holds the key to all things… they CAN’T hide from me. I will follow them, I’ll set up a link and this to remind me.

Perhaps I should hide it on the secure site, perhaps that would be best. I’ll find them though and they will pay, they will definitely pay.

Dr Marcel was right when he said, “When you’re building a cage for Satan, you don’t ask him to wait around whilst you put the doors on.”

Welsh is probably behind this, but he won’t get away with it"

translating that image to binary from top down you get this

?

The bits in your solution are inverted.

This has already been solved. Some of the details of the solution are missing from the wiki, though. See this post.

It is possible that the grilled pizza is still important somehow, since Stormseeker added the solution to the grilled pizza puzzle ‘congratulationsyouwonthePIZZA’ under ‘Handy Info’ when he edited the first post.

I sure hope someone tried that phrase “congratulationsyouwonthePIZZA” as the password for the halos cipher!
I have no idea how to go about doing that myself.

well since the pro’s have given up, me as dumbass will try to solve it in the next weeks :smiley:

so my progression so far, the halos code can be convered to binary, that tresults in a lot of 1’s and 0’s and strangly enough there are no 2’s or 3’s

converting that binary to
UTF7, UTF8, UTF32, Unicode, Big Endian Unicode, Ascii results in nothing

ARE YOU … KIDDING ME? :smiley:
Binary? 2? 3?

Haha, this has to be the saddest post in this thread yet. I would actually tempban you for this if it wasn’t so insanely hilarious.

Wait, was he was being serious? I thought that statement was there for levity.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
