[ARG] The Pizza Code Mystery

The Synch might be all he had. I might have missed something, but I didn’t hear anything remotely like a full SSTV signal.
Though I’ve dabbled in SSTV, I’m not an expert - I’m not sure if the synch audio alone would give enough information to give a “ghosting” of the image like we saw.

Maybe the fact that contact us connects to steam means we have to contact the devs through steam? I’m just pulling at straws here

That’s what I thought, there must be a reason for sending us to Steam.
Although, page is sending us to steampowered.com (but store.steampowered.com is home site)

Anyone think that the numbers before the URLs could mean anything? I’ll post them here for easy reference

I began carrying a notebook around with me, so that when I see a connection between this new website and a clue we’ve had in the past, I write it down. My intent is to update the blog every so often with a few “thoughts of the day” or what have you. Granted, I have a few years’ worth of data rolling around up there, so my recollection of some finer points may be off–therefore, I will probably post any “key” thoughts I have on the Wiki so that you folks can tear it apart and correct discrepancies. My reasoning for this is, quite simply, that Storm is a goddamned genius and we are going to need to pull out all the stops if we are going to succeed. I recall during the first few days of this ARG, when the IRC channel was up, that user “Code_” (later determined to be Storm) reminisced about ARG’s he had been a part of in the past. He mentioned this one ARG (which I believe is still left unsolved) wherein the creator had cockroaches running on the ground within the game, and when the cockroaches’ patterns of movement were interwoven an image was created–or something of that nature. Considering the knowledge this man has (and that shared by the rest of the dev team), and his past experiences with ARG’s, we are going to need every connection logged, every nook and cranny recorded in detail. If we have any hope of solving it, that is.

That’s just great. An ARG genius who is leading us on a wild goose chase. All these clues, but none of them seem to be connected in a significant way. By the way, Cockroach is the title given to members with a low post count.

I’ve been messing about in Inbound, and I’ve found two things of interest, both of them in the area 9 hub. First of all, there was another ‘The pizza is a lie’, which is located on the wall of an office that can be accessed through noclipping (its one of the first of the lower ones that you come to). The second is a darkened room on the top row of offices in the area 9 hub, which contains 2 screens. One is displaying green code (which i think was debunked a while ago as irrelevant, but don’t quote me), and another is an email being sent to someone ( https://imgur.com/8ITEbjQ ). I’m trying to figure out the email address to see if we could email it, but the contents of the email seem to pertain to a helicopter crash? I’m not quite sure at this point whether it means something or not, but eh it could be worth a shot

That email texture was explained in the easter egg thread shortly after Black Mesa was released.

To be honest, I think we can probably afford to exclude in-game entities from the current puzzle. I know that I personally (and, I imagine, many others from this forum) scoured the chapters in question (pun) top to bottom looking for even the most microscopic item out of place. I read every coffee mug, took a snapshot of every computer screen, and noclipped through every wall–in fact, the early portion of this thread was spent debating over numerous pieces of such information. That said, I think it is safe to say that at least this portion of the ARG is to be online. Furthermore, if any hint did point back to something in-game, I’m comfortable relying on the fact that many of us would be able to instantly say, “Yeah, I saw that near [insert area].”

You might be on to something, i originally said that 21 and 1 where both numbers in the Fibonacci Sequence a while back. The Website TornadoAP posted, https://web.ewu.edu/prime/Modulo1.htm, basically talk about mapping numbers to note pitches.

Modulo Operation basically takes a range of numbers ( such as a chunk/sequence ) and maps those numbers to a range of notes/pitches. It basically transforms a number to a note on a piano, or a piano scale) now the Modulo is determined by a Pitch Range and can be of any number of any size ( i would say this is limited though, as there is only 88 keys on a piano )

Now if we where to take the first 21 Fibonacci numbers :
1 1 2 3 5 8 13 21 34 55 89 144 233 377 610 987 1597 2584 4181 6765 10946

You notice that if it was to use the 88 keys on the Piano, Number 89 would be past the end of the scale, meaning it would be a Silent Key, much how 0 would be as well.

The website https://musicalgorithms.ewu.edu/algorithms/Fibonacci.html allows a user to stick those in and get the notes needed, by selecting the number of intergers ( range of the fibonachi number), then selecting the scaling ( 0 - 88 ) which allow you then to modify a 0 in to a 1, and give a output of a midi file,

This could be a massive red herring, and it probably is, but worth mentioning and looking into.

EDIT : forgot to add, you would need to do the Modulo Transposition prior to doing it, and then input those number in to get anything out, but Modulo seems strange as best, sometimes it Add’s other Takes Away,

EDIT 2 : Also i totally forgot about the Upright Piano in the Listings. So Modulo seems the right way to go.

This makes me think that the BMRF.US Website, and the initial Warning and now the All Clear page, was intended to bring back people to the ARG. If i was right about the AI5BM being A15 BM, and linking to those rooms, it seems almost perfect to lead people to that area, find the door and then find the code behind the door which lead us to the first Clue.
