The forum isn’t going to be filled. The forum will be very quiet for a few hours after the mods release.
No, it’ll be loud with people complaining that their computers can’t run the mod, and that the devs should go back and dumb down the graphics so it will work for them.
right, by the way i really need to upgrade my computer
I am planning on hijacking the family TV :3
Oh, dude! I should do that! I didn’t even think about that until now! I’ve got an awesome 36" right in my living room =D
Nevermind the one in my pants. :3
I might make a let’s play
42" :3
How big is the one in your pants?
I want to listen a commentary
Slow run, easter run, speed run. In that order.
When HL2 was about to be released, I promised myself that if it was as good as it looked in all the 2003 videos (tunnels, traptown, bugbait etc.), that I would start drooling while I was playing, but it wasn’t. I now make the same promise with BM, will it deliver?..
I already have plastic wrap on my keyboard, so…
I think that’s funny, because it’s the exact opposite of my reaction. I couldn’t give two shits about the trailers I saw, but I fell in love with the game when I played it. :3
yeah I was thinking HL2 looked to be a bit generic and then I played it and was really impressed.
The beginning was ok but I was a little disappointed with it starting with waking up from stasis and how short the train ride es… I left the train and started playing with the physics objects which was fun and revolutionary at the time but not quite amazing…
Then I got to the turnstyle:
(From https://www.fanfiction.net/s/4389329/1/Welcome_to_City_17 - I googled the phrase to get the full quote and figured this was a good way of explaining what I meant)
Half Life 2 managed to convey emotion exceptionally well. The facial animation they put into Source still hasn’t really been bettered.
I really hope Black Mesa manages to pull that off half as well.
Agreed, the facial and body animation and voice work is still lightyears ahead of most games.
Making some anime soundmods maybe… and playing the mod.
Thats what youll be doing when you find out that the mod is a lie.
quick question, will this be downloadable trought steam?
k, back to the topic, im going to download the mod, when its released im going to launch it.
then im going to press new game, and im going to play the game slowly, watching all little details while i remember myself of half life 1,
That’s for Steam to decide, the devs have no say in the matter.
it would be nice if they did, since steam availability keeps mods alive…at least in the multiplayer aspect. plus, valve has, at one point or another, mentioned BM on their news page?
At one point, someone should do a video where they compare side-by-side two same positions in a map for BM vs. HL1, and maybe as a fuck-you to valve, HL-S.
The colon-s smiley is annoying
as fer what i’ll do when I play it…probably play 5 minutes of it, and then slap an M4 skin over the MP5
HL Source did what it was supposed to do, it was a straight port of HL1 on the Source engine. That’s all Valve wanted to do with it, so stop whining that it wasn’t an acual Source remake.
I’ll admit that when I bought the HL2 Collector’s Edition (which included HL Source), I also thought it was a remake, but I don’t blame them.
As for the fuck you to Valve, don’t bite the hand that feeds you
