I wonder, they can’t call a matchmaking service IWnet…
TreyarchNet?

No, I was talking about the Halo: Reach beta.
The “As for the topic” part was referring to the new Call of Duty.
I skim. :retard:
Obviously.
To the topic: Most likely not.
nope… didn’t buy its plethora of predecessors either… I Don’t find Realistic shooters fun.
Nor do I Intend to Purchase its successors
Because the Call of Duty series is known for its realism.
no
Eh? MW2 wasn’t anything close to a failure. The single player was intense and utterly awesome, Special Ops was fun and the multiplayer still keeps me entertained. The lack of dedicated servers is annoying, but by no means fatal to gameplay. It’ll probably affect its longevity, but that’s not an issue at the moment.
This^
I will most definitely buy black ops, I hope a nazi zombies like game mode will return with Treyarch, that was so much fun!
Nah, I don’t really like shooters with aliens (HL series being an exception(as well as Doom I II and III)(and the Duke Nukem franchise)). I’m more of a shoot some bastards up.
EDIT: Also, one of the things that piss me of about MW2, is that it calls itself ultrarealistic. Neither the way you fight in multiplayer, nor the physics have anything to do with realism. The singleplayer counts for that as well. Also, while the shooting in the singleplayer was fun, the most important about singleplayer games, unless they would be really fun anyways, is story. And the lack of it, was the one thing that ruined MW2 for me.
first of all, CoD MW2 wasn’t bad. The game itself is great, it just lacks dedicated servers!
However, it’s not Infinity Ward who’s making Black Ops. It’s Treyarch (Same who did CoD World at War)
I have to wait and see what I will do, but World at War wasn’t that great compared to CoD4 MW. Right now it feels like I would buy it, but I will think about it!
CoD sucks and I don’t buy bad games. I won’t even download it.
/thread
And balance, and skill, and anti camping shit…do I need to go on?
Yes i will, it’s down to the game if i will enjoy it or not.
Why are people talking about Halo in a CoD thread >
You mean /opinion mate.
The mp is actually pretty balanced once you gain a few ranks. I am a mediocore gamer, I’ll admit it, I’m not that good, yet I can still get a positive k/d in CoDMW2 most of the time. And people bitch about akimbo shotguns, I rarely run into let alone get killed by akimbo shotguns. The noob tube is annoying, but only noobs use it. There are no really good places to camp in any maps. If you camp, everyone will know where you are and come and kill you, so you need to keep moving or you’ll get killed, so yes, MW2 does have anti camping.
And what does it matter if CoD isn’t extremely realistic even if they said it was? Games that focus on realism a lot suck (Far Cry 2).
Call of Duty has plenty of storyline, just watch the loading videos. It may be not as much as a game like Half-Life 2, but that isn’t the focus in CoD. If all games focused on storyline, it’d get boring; you need variety in games.
diddnt plaay the last couple but Nam is an interesting and underused setting. Would be neat if you got to play bits from both sides in sp
Far Cry 2 was a really good game with alot of depth to it.
That camping mechanic is’t foolproof. Each time I play CoD MW2 at my friends house, I am the only one who just kills the camper by chucking grenades in. The rest just charge and don’t even take notice of the claymore. One good teammate can win the match. That good teammate also happens to carry an assault rifle. The only weapon that’s guarantees your team wins the round, if the enemy doesn’t have one. Did I mention the fucking claymore? Yeah, that’s proof to me that MW2 supports camping. Also: The dlc costs money. I don’t want to be treated like a console fag.
EDIT: You know Bad Company 2? Yeah, that’s a war game done right.
EDIT EDIT: So games that focus alot on realism suck, eh. Well, guess Bad Company 2 sucks too.
glad someone else appreciated farcry 2
Doesn’t really reveal much what kind of game it really is. I’d have to say no until they release real media.
