Anime/Manga Thread

If you like GITS Psycho-Pass is the obvious next choice.

Man, even cut short as Kai, Dragon Ball Z is really slow.

thanks for the recommendation, I’m 5 episodes in and really liking it so far

I’m watching “Your Lie in April” and it’s heartwrenching and absolutely beautifully drawn and animated.

I read all of 100 Mob Psycho over the last couple days. Great shounen. It’s by ONE, the same guy who does the original One Punch Man webcomic. (The new One Punch Man manga is a redraw of the webcomic by another artist, so don’t expect that art going into Mob Psycho.)

Pffffhahaha

I just finished the first season of Hidamari Sketch. I’m beginning to see the appeal of moe stuff. It’s cute and comfy, a great balm for job-hunting stress.

Aldnoah.Zero concluded this weekend, finished watching the episode not too long ago. It was a “meh” conclusion, but one of my favorite Mecha animes that I’ve seen to date.

Kekkai Sensen has been so insanely enjoyable.

Finally got my roommates to watch Puella Magi Madoka Magica with me for one of our “whenever everybody is around” dinnertime animes. Been enjoying their reactions to things so far.
Another couple things we’ve been watching recently are Katekyō Hitman Reborn!*, Shokugeki no Soma, and as a more casual watch, Bleach**.
Also, despite having nearly nothing but fond, happy memories of Clannad, I simply cannot listen to this medley without being overcome.

Anyway, so that’s the thread revived, if anyone’s been watching or reading anything interesting lately.

Bleach is my guilty pleasure. I don’t know if you’ve been keeping up with the manga, but the latest arc (purportedly the last) has been insane, particularly this week. I mean:

You can’t make this shit up.

I’m nearly finished with Psycho-Pass. Holy shit what an excellent anime. I love this so much, I can’t even put it in words.

I’m watching new episodes of Gintama (2015), and I can’t believe that it laughs me off A LOT, but the latest manga chapters, damn, things are getting SUPER SERIOUS THERE!

I’m finally watching Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita. It’s wacky as hell.

Even if it is the most OMG generic bullshit anime n00b choice, my dad and I have really been enjoying Attack on Titan, I only wish season 2 would come sooner.

Other than that, I recently got into JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, and it’s definitely the most fabulouth anime I’ve watched in a long time.

Eh it’s not really. It’s a great anime and is well animated.

Now this is exciting.

If they don’t put in every duwang homage they can I’m so going to pretend I’m pissed even though I’m not

Jinrui is one of the greatest things I’ve ever watched.

Catching up on One Punch Man, I totally forgot how entertaining this show really is.

I also watched the first couple episodes of Trigun yesterday, and I’m not really sure if I like it all that much.

I’m in the middle of Clannad After Story. Just finished episode 16. This is the saddest show ever.
SPOILERS

I got a bad feeling the rest of this show is gonna be sad. It’s emotionally pushed me to the edge and back so many times, that Nagisa’s death has me numb. At first i was like “This show doesn’t seem too sad” until the Fuko arc, after that I new it was gonna be a trip of emotions and boy it is.
On a different note, anyone else keeping up with Fairy Tail manga? It’s got me on the edge of my seat right now, wondering what comes next. After so many years, it’s coming to an END (Harhar I’m funny). I also feel old now realizing how long it’s been running.
