Ancient Aliens

So, has anyone seen the new series on the History channel called Ancient Aliens? I saw an episode today. If it were possible to create a continuous facepalm, I would have been doing it. Unfortunately I had to settle for a repeating facepalm. Where to begin? Okay, first off, apparently ancient civilizations flew around in boxes and landed on ancient runways. They wrapped a special paper around massive building blocks to make them hover. And oh yeah, Ezekiel (The bible Ezekiel) apparently built a hangar for a space ship and was told to do so by beings in shiny metal armor who came from the sky.

All of this is presented as if it were emerging factual theories, with no counter-arguments involved. And we wonder why increasingly unintelligent people come about every day?

No really. DVR it if you have to. It’s entertaining JUST to see how ridiculous this show really gets.

This is more Sci-Fi then History…
Gotta get my hands on that “Special Paper” though

There’s lots of shit about Ezekiel in the Bible meeting mysterious armoured men with multiple heads. Aliens or drug induced hallucinations, YOU DECIDE.

wat the wat wat :what:

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa…

So you are saying that… the program lied? :’( :’(

Anyway, I don’t like History Channel, it’s boring, although I watched an interesting program once.

This is gonna result in more Scientologists. I just know it.

Maybe they bought the channel ? :fffuuu:

what.

In the butt.

Yes it was necessary.

I remember watching some documentary about ancient hieroglyphs on National Geographic. They explained that Ancient Egyptians drew glyphs that were supposed to resemble alien space ships and motor boats…

Is it this you’re talking about? Fuck me what a piece of crap.

They kept showing pictures of ancient figurines and carvings saying “Look at this, it looks like an alien!” while they were obviously just people and animals and combinations thereof.

No, this is the show: https://www.history.com/shows/ancient-aliens

Hm, no videos, too bad :frowning:

The only ancient alien evidence I believe in is the Sumerian Artefacts which show men in spacesuits and rockets launching to the sky. Which was also shown in The Fourth Kind, whether or not The Fourth Kind was real, the Sumerian Artefacts are actually in museums.

It’s official…National geographic plays Assassins Creed 2 too much.

I saw that. Near the end of it they explained how those hieroglyphs are actually several hieroglyphs drawn over eachother over time. Any resemblance to current technology is purely coincidental.

Yes that was the one. Although I still don’t get it why they bring that stupid theory up even if they know it is false.

I like some of the shows that run on History Channel and Discovery (Various documentaries, Pawn Stars and Mythbusters), but I’ve always hated how the channels do all of this fictitious garbage just to appeal to crazies and stupid people.

i fuckin love crazy people theories. also american chopper for some reason. who is everyones fav teutull (mikey obv)

I love shows like that.

It’s like, a show about conjecture. For most of the show, it’s all a mystery. No one knows what it is. The one possibility they follow is groundbreaking.

But then it reaches the last two minutes and the flip you the bird while saying “Haha, we baited you into watching our stupid program, we know exactly what’s going on, and it’s completely rational. Would you like to lick my balls?”
