Aliens in the vents!!!

Well yeah. The question was as to how a zombie would climb into a vent after having lost his legs.

strong arms?

bear arms?

oic what u did thar

I remember in half-life seeing scientists constantly being killed by some monster pulling them into the vent and eating them but all I ever saw was just the headcrabs which was a bit disappointing. So I agree there should be perhaps zombies or something in the vent but a half zombie would be a bit weird and perhaps over the top.

It would be awesome if you had to fight one of the arms from the monster in that blast pit inside a vent.

It’d have to be a pretty big-ass vent.

Maybe he climbed trying to run away from an alien that chop his legs off in the process. Then a headcrab came and coupled with his head.

Or the entrance to the vent is below, not up high.

Or maybe the monster that pulls the scientists into the vent ate that scientist’s legs, but he managed to scape somehow.

I always assumed it was a Bullsquid in the vent pulling him up.

Really? Bullsquids seemed too fat to me, I couldn’t see them crawling into or around vents.

But what else could it be?

What ever it is we never see it, just those irritating headcrabs.

Isn’t it a tentacle from a monster? In HL2, there was a monster which was supposed to live in the sewers which was cut off for many reasons. I thought maybe they are related.

Fox: If bullsquids can fit behind walls (Power up) then why not in vents?

In “We’ve Got Hostiles” a barney is pulled into a vent by a zombie. En in “Power Up” (?) a HECU is killed and pulled into a crack in the wall by a bullsquid.

The hydra may have been inspired by the tentacle, but I think they’re unrelated.

The Nihilanth battle should be in a vent.

Well you only see the crack in the wall and the black behind, there could be an infinite amount of space behind there. To me, they seem far too big to fit into tiny vents.

Yes, like I said you see them being pulled in but not crawling around the vents, I think a whole zombie in the vent wouldn’t be a bad idea.

Edit could you really see one of these:

running through vents you have to crouch in?

It sort of looks like it would stand a chance of getting it’s head in but then it’s massive legs would get stuck outside.

Bullsquids don’t go in vents :hmph:
