This is new to me, perhaps you are confused with the shield alien? I believe you can only kill him by bursting his shielded bulb.
No, it’s not a shieldbug. It’s a rare glitch that I’ve only seen once. Basically there’s this one alien (a drone) that can’t be lit on fire, and is invulnerable to gunfire - it also killed our entire team. I have no idea why this happens, must be a spawn issue.
If we are talking about the same alien, the drone is that one with four claws, right? It was something like it

My one fun bit was soloing 3/4ths of the sewer level on normal with a tech. Adv. Rifle. Ammo kit and idk what the hell I was using for 3rd slot. The 4 shield bugs about halfway through were cake with the alt fire on the adv. rifle. Just had to go slow. Other 3 died from gawd awful host ping and were cheering me on the whole way, as it was our 5th attempt at the level. (I totally skipped the last 2 shield bugs cuz I was out of the shock nades. Still counts. :freeman 
stupid dumb free game goes really slowly on my computer at super-high settings and I REFUSE TO PLAY IT ON ANYTHING BUT FULL
I’ve played the game, I think it is too little maps… but it is awesome! I recommend it! It also contains a new version of source sdk witch by a fail contains hl2 stuff!
I LOVE this game. Not because of the gameplay, story, graphics, etc. I love it because now I can get Black Mesa Source without having to pay jack shit.
Of course I am just speaking for everyone else, because I have almost every modern day Valve game. 
Hmmm, no, Black Mesa won’t work with Alien Swarm.

I havent played it yet, it doesnt work, I get a stoopid error before the game even loads.
I’m making these huge custom maps with shitloads of high poly custom models all using multiple textures just to spite those low-end computer users.
