Alien grunt beign crowbared

Hi, sry, I searched but didnt find any similar thread… so when u get close to alien grunt and u crowbar him, he wont attack you…not sure if bug or its planned or what

In HL1, couldn’t you continuously stun an alien grunt with the crowbar so they couldn’t attacK? Maybe it’s an intentional reference to HL1.
