AFTER EFFECTS 'n' shit

So, that’s basically some of the stuff in After Effects I’ve been working on (infrequently) during this year.
Nevermind stupid titles overflowing with profanities and shit like that.

https://www.vimeo.com/8893699 - HOUSE
https://www.vimeo.com/9426213 - Optical flares. Did you mention a pandemic, Kane?
https://vimeo.com/8968447 - Global Fucking Illumination. This bitch can get hairy. 1st try.
https://www.vimeo.com/9043094 - 2nd try. Much better.
https://www.vimeo.com/user2986849 - trapcode plugins are awesome.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjmzUz8dd4w&feature=channel - just a tryout of a preset, nothing special

Nice.

Cool man, keep it up  KEEP POSTING THEM TOO @_@
.

Ah, yeah, for sure mang.

Sweet stuff man. By the way: Great music.
Justice is amazing.

I don’t think big name films cram their titles so full of effects that they’re impossible to read too often. Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. My two cents.

That said, my favorite was the particle explosion one, because the words were actually crisp and stayed still for a whole second.

After Effects is awesome.

I haven’t posted any of my AE stuff in a long time.
Apart from my BM and Operation Lambda trailers.

I did enjoy these. Good work you old dirty bastard.

Well of course and thanks. These were just to try out some stuff out there and get used to the workflow. And to have as much fun as I can have with a crappy home computer. Therefore, videos are not long.
To work on big name films, you have to have resources, time and a decent workstation.

Oh and Justice is not so great anymore to me. Well, until they provide something actually new and the shit will be good.

BUMP.

Motion graphix ololol.
Anyway, C4D’s Mograph 2 does great things, AE improves on 'em.

The House one looks nice, what program did you do the text in?

These are pretty awesome. I’ve always wanted to mess with movie editing but never really had a rig that handled it :frowning: . Hopefully after I upgrade I’ll learn something in my free time  .

People have told me that After Effects is pretty easy/straight-forward to learn, compared to other software, kinda like Google Sketch-Up is to 3DS/Blender, is there any truth in that? I seem to like stuff done in AE a whole lot more (yes I like flashy stuff :stuck_out_tongue: ).

Apparently Cinema 4D with Mograph 2? That’s what it says in the post above (and in the video description) :X.

After Effects is… Brilliant. It takes a while to realize its full potential.
At first, it’ll seem like you can create some good stuff really easily, but then you realize that stuff isn’t that good, and you go on to creating more complex and unique stuff.

You managed to take photoshop’s lens flare pandemic one step further…

Cinema 4D R11.5. There is a MoGraph module which does all that good cloning and physics stuff. And it supports text.
C4D has the best interface by far. Maya may be more advanced, bu I don’t want to get my hands dirty with it yet.

Photoshop lens flare sucks fucking dick :stuck_out_tongue:
Knoll Light Factory is the shit… until this one comes out.

Cool shit is never easy to make. Trial and error will take most of your time. That is, if you want to make really cool shit. And it applies for every artist program.

nvmnd double post

Amazing shit man !
