Accessing console

SOLVED

I have gone to options->keyboard->advanced and ticked “Enable developer console”. However pressing ‘~’ (SHIFT + #) does not open the console.

I am trying to enable my Xbox 360 controller for use with the game using DarknessDudeTOB’s cfg files that I found here: https://forums.blackmesasource.com/showthread.php?t=12924.

I have done everything required except running the exec command, but I can’t access the console to do so.

Any help appreciated!
