A Small Collection of Bugs

I just finished the Black Mesa mod, after kicking many alien asses. One of the, if not THE best mod for a game I have ever played, it’s that good! However, I came across a few bugs in my travels throughout the complex. The bugs and their corresponding screenshots will be listed by chapter, or as well as I can remember.

Chapter 3: Unforeseen Consequences
Strange water splash effect placement: Above Water/Below Water

Chapter 4: Office Complex
Odd lighting error on a bulletin board.

Either Chapter 5 or 6, can’t remember
Mirrored global map display.

Any time you are shining the flashlight on a prop or object
Tiny cube or sphere, probably the flashlight-effects emitter.

Any time you are using the SPAS-12 Shotgun and flashlight simultaneously
Hard vertical edge on shotgun view model.

Chapter 11: Questionable Ethics
Semi-film-grain effect on simple pieces of paper.

Chapter 12: Surface Tension
Quickly killing the first sniper will avert friendly NPC’s deaths, but they freeze after animations are finished. The scientist can still be killed, and he will flop to the ground normally.

Applies to all Headcrab Zombies who used to be Security Guards
Unfinished textures for the gun in the Zombie’s holster.

Applies to all HECU Assassins
Incorrect model rigging and/or mesh errors literally separates Assassins’ torsos from their legs.

And those are all the ones I managed to find throughout my first playthrough. I will most likely play it again and will update this thread as more glitches and bugs appear (if any).

If you haven’t played through all of Surface Tension ignore this.

But if you have how can you ignore the buggy mortar at the end of the chapter.

Strange…I don’t recall having that bug on my playthrough. That airstrike display rendered perfectly on my rig. Here’s my hardware specs, just in case…
