So, as I’m making a map, I realized that when you pick up a revolver you get 6+12 bullets. But, whenever I’d pick up ammo for it, I wouldn’t get any more bullets than that. But I recall having 30+ bullets in vanilla? What’s going on?
Using cheats, the in-game limit on 357 ammo is indeed 6 + 12. It might be possible to exceed that number on a per-map basis using point_clientcommands and other game-rules-altering entities, but I am not sure.
What do you mean? Okay, so, when playing Black Mesa I can have up to 36 bullets just like in original Half-Life. But, when I spawn 357 in my custom map, max is 12. What’s going on?
These values can also be modified through the console in-game, and through level design using the point_clientcommand entity.
Okay, my memory was off… it is actually 6+12, not 6+36. Would there be any reason why I would want or not want to make it 6+36 or keep it 6+12?
Also, thanks for all the responses!
